Melania Trump boards a presidential jet.

Melania Trump was by her husband’s side as he was officially sworn in today as the 45th President of the United States. However, she doesn’t plan to stay in Washington long. After Donald Trump’s inauguration, his wife will be rushing out of D.C. for one important reason.

The new First Lady will spend Friday night and Saturday in D.C. but then plans to fly back home to New York City. Melania’s plans may appear odd at first glance, especially to those from the other side of the aisle. Her reason for rushing to leave the White House is totally legitimate, though, and it proves that her priorities lie with her family.

Ten-year-old Barron Trump has school on Monday, January 23, just like every other American fifth grader. Thus, his mother will fly back to New York on Sunday, January 22, to take him to school, as she does every day. Melania’s simple decision to leave the inauguration festivities early in order to make sure Barron does not miss a minute of his studies shows just how normal the Trump Family operates, despite their vast wealth.

Melania wants Barron’s circumstances to be “as normal as possible,” sources told TMZ. “She takes the mom thing seriously,” added one insider. That includes Barron finishing his current school year in New York City, before relocating to the White House with Melania in June. After that, he will enroll in a D.C. school the following September.

Melania plans to commute back and forth from Washington to her home at Trump Tower just so that life can remain as normal as possible for Barron until then. The trip will take her approximately 90 minutes each way, according to Hollywood Life.

The fact that Melania is leaving D.C. so soon after her husband’s inauguration is really no surprise at all, especially when you consider what she has planned for the rest of the year. She is a mother any child would be fortunate have, as it would seem she consistently puts Barron first. SHARE this report if you think Melania Trump’s commitment to being a mother first and foremost is very commendable!
