Michelle Obama is in the middle of promoting her self-aggrandizing new memoir, but Melania Trump just upstaged her in a major way. Now, Michelle has to be a little jealous, as the current first lady just made history for doing what no other FLOTUS ever has.

According to IJR, First Lady Melania Trump made history during her visit with military service members on Wednesday by flying in an Osprey aircraft. This is the first time a first lady has ever flown in the aircraft; typically, they fly in a more traditional aircraft like Air Force One.

The Osprey is a tiltrotor helicopter that takes off and lands vertically. Trump took a video of her flying and displayed the advanced systems in the aircraft.

“We are off to visit some of our brave men & women in uniform today & thank them for their service,” the first lady tweeted on Wednesday morning. “I’ll be visiting Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Joint Base Langley-Eustis & the #USSGeorgeHWBush aircraft carrier today. Looking forward to meeting everyone! #USA”

At Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Hampton, Virginia, Melania thanked the men and women in uniform for their service, saying, “I’m honored to be able to say, ‘Welcome home,’ and, ‘Thank you for answering the call of duty.'” She added, “We know that we are free because you are brave.”

“I want you all to know, the president and I are so grateful and have unconditional appreciation for all that you do,” said the first lady. “This administration will always stand with the men and women of the United States armed forces.”

Lots of photos surfaced on social media from Melania’s big day, including one that the first lady posted herself wearing a very special hat.

Melania Trump hands-down won the day Wednesday when she shared a stunning selfie rocking a USS George H.W. Bush cap after her Christmas visit on board the aircraft carrier.

“An incredible flight today on a V-22 to visit the service members aboard the USS George H.W. Bush. Thank you to ALL who serve,” the first lady captioned her photo on Instagram following her historic flight onboard a V-22 Osprey for a multi-stop trip to honor the troops.

The cap read, “USS George H.W. Bush CVN 77” and contained an image of the carrier–named after the late 41st President of the United States — and three jets flying overhead with stars and stripes. [Source: The Daily Caller]

Social media users shared their support for the first lady and her historic journey on Wednesday. “Our beautiful Flotus loves this country more than Nancy Pelosi ever thought about,” one supporter wrote on Instagram.

“You’re very much loved by we the people FLOTUS…. thank you for what u did,” commented another person fond of Melania.

“You are absolutely amazing. Keep up the great work!!!!! We love you,” wrote someone else.

Of course, Michelle Obama never did this much for our service members, and she never would have been caught dead in an Osprey. Even now that she’s exited the White House, she prefers to fly in private jets, courtesy of her rich friends.

All Michelle Obama ever did was insult our beautiful country and the brave men and women who have risked everything so that we can live safely and freely. It was Michelle who said that she was never proud of America until her husband was elected. And, it was Michelle Obama who spent her time in the White House cozying up to the likes of cop-hating Beyoncé and racist Oprah Winfrey.

Indeed, the difference between Michelle and Melania could not be more pronounced. And, that’s why Americans are so proud of our current first lady.
