Michelle Obama must be reeling from the brutal smackdown she just received, and it’s going viral. Erin Aubry Kaplan is a big-shot African-Amerian professor who used to call Michelle her good friend. Now, the black professor just exposed Michelle as being one big fake sellout. You don’t want to miss this.

Michelle Obama has been on her big international book tour for the last several months. And the leftist media has treated the former first lady like a rock star who can do no wrong. In fact, as conservatives know, any critique of the 55-year-old is met with anger and dismay by the mainstream media. Michelle is their golden girl, and we all must find her wonderful.

That is until her one-time friend, Erin Aubry Kaplan, had the guts to call out Michelle as one big fake sellout. Kaplan claims the former first lady is dazzled by what white people think. The Antioch University professor is a rabid supporter of Black Lives Matter.

“[R]eading Becoming made me realize, with a sinking heart, how much further we have to go before we routinely hear the whole story about black people’s experience,” Kaplan said. “This becomes clear in those brief parts of the book that address two of the most controversial moments of the 2008 presidential campaign: Mrs. Obama’s remark on the campaign trail that ‘for the first time in my adult life I’m really proud of my country,’ and the sermon by the Obamas’ longtime pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., that the media boiled down to the epithet ‘God damn America.'”

Kaplan goes on to explain she sees Michelle as a sell-out, especially on those two occasions. When the former first lady said, “for the first time in my adult life I’m really proud of my country,” Kaplan sees Michelle’s explanation “that she meant nothing racial, that she was not being unpatriotic” as a lie she told to make the white Americans happy.

As a Rev. Wright fan, Kaplan also sees Michelle condemnation of his anti-American politics as a betrayal. “She dismisses such suspicion in her own relatives, who have lived through segregation and Jim Crow, as so much cranky mistrust,” Kaplan says.

“Mrs. Obama still follows the rule of assimilation: It’s more important to retain white empathy than to be truly empathetic to ourselves,” Kaplan declares. In essence, Kaplan is a Black Lives Matter fanatic who finds Michelle’s newfound celebrity disgusting. She feels Barack’s wife denies the radical thoughts that Rev. Wright and the Black Panthers endorse.

It’s ironic. Michelle is now getting thrown under the bus for not being “black enough.” Kaplan implies that fame and celebrity are more important to Mrs. Obama than anything else.

“After reading Obama’s reflections on the incidents in the memoir, Kaplan accused her of trying to appease white people while paying lip service to black oppression, believing Obama fears expressing the full discontent of black Americans will cause her to be labeled ‘anti-American,”‘ the Washington Times reports.

While we don’t agree with Kaplan’s extremist black liberation theology politics or the perpetual victim status these racial charged groups espouse, we can agree that Michelle Obama is a sellout. Even her own mother seems to thinks so. Mrs. Robinson texted Michelle after the Grammy Award appearance, and for some strange reason, the former first lady plastered the exchange on her Instagram.

Ms. Robinson was less than impressed with her daughter, texting to Michelle: “I guess you were a hit at the Grammys.”

“I’m sitting here with Valarie [Jarrett] and this text is so typically you,” Michelle responded. “Did you watch it?” Asks Michelle.

Marian then said, “I saw it because Gracie called me. Did you meet any of the real stars or did you run right after you were done?”

Of course, Michelle’s mom is making the point she doesn’t see her daughter as a “real star.” After Ms. Robinson and Michelle banter back and forth over if she was informed about the Grammy appearance, Michelle quiped, “I AM A real star…by the way.” Her mother answered, “Yeah.”

Professor Kaplan also blasted Michelle’s Grammy appearance as disappointing. “As the highest-profile black American woman in the world for eight years, as a towering first, she has a rare chance — an obligation, in my mind — to broaden the national narrative of exclusion from a story of black striving and overcoming to a story of black discontent,” Kaplan said. “That would be much more meaningful than any feel-good awards-show speech about the ‘unifying power of music.'”

Poor Michelle. She’s not seen as authentic by the Black Lives Matter crowd. They are calling her out as being a fame-seeking phony who they believe has sold them out. Michelle’s mom doesn’t seem to approve of this new celebrity lifestyle her daughter is living, either.

She’s running in circles with performers, yet she has no such ability to act or sing. Maybe she needs to take a page out of the other notable first ladies’ books who have retired with dignity. Trying so hard to be a rock star when her only claim to fame is being married to Barack Obama won’t last too long. When your own mother is seemingly embarrassed, it’s time to re-think the path you are on.
