Most Americans can relate to shopping at Target. And so when Michelle Obama spoke about her visit to one of the super-stores, it’s unfathomable that she could actually decry “racism.”
But that is exactly what she did. Apparently, the shopping experience is included in her new autobiography “Becoming.” According to the 5’11” Michelle, she encountered a very racist woman at Target.
The account of the shopping trip is also included in a People Magazine article titled, “The Obamas: How We Deal With Our Own Racist Experiences.” That’s how we know the former first lady thinks this was blatant racism at work.
“I tell this story – I mean, even as the first lady – during that wonderfully publicized trip I took to Target, not highly disguised, the only person who came up to me in the store was a woman who asked me to help her take something off a shelf. Because she didn’t see me as the first lady, she saw me as someone who could help her. Those kinds of things happen in life. So it isn’t anything new,” Michelle Obama, who is 5’11”, said.
Yeah, you read that right. And I have to admit I’d be guilty of blatant racism too. I am always asking someone taller than me to grab something off a top shelf. Usually, it’s my 6’3″ son, but if he isn’t available, I am known to bug a tall stranger. Silly me, I thought the taller person was doing an act of kindness. Well, now we know. But that’s not all.
Michelle also related stories about Barack. “She also said that her husband, Barack Obama, was asked to get coffee when he was wearing a tux. “He was wearing a tuxedo at a black-tie dinner, and somebody asked him to get coffee,” she told People.
Barack said, “There’s no black male my age, who’s a professional, who hasn’t come out of a restaurant and is waiting for their car and somebody didn’t hand them their car keys.”
Wow, how did they do it? It seems like they view themselves as victims, doesn’t it? Conservative journalist Michele Malkin agrees. She wrote about the former first lady lamenting all this racism and her hardships while she was FLOTUS.
“[Michelle] Obama has traveled to every corner of the planet on the taxpayers’ dime. She has splurged in Spain, traversed the Great Wall of China, tangoed in Buenos Aires, skied in Aspen, lolled in Martha’s Vineyard and feasted in Marrakesh. Thanks to her public position and celebrity, she has been bestowed ‘fashion icon’ status — donning a $12,000 custom-made Atelier Versace gown at her final State Dinner after enjoying two terms clad in Givenchy, Gucci, Jason Wu, Vera Wang, Caroline Herrera and other haute couture stars whose designs are unattainable to ordinary women in America,” Malkin reported.

“Funny that. The last time Obama shopped at Target, she turned the outing into a fake news narrative to stoke racial division in America. I consider her exploitation of the incident a perfect metaphor for the Obama years — faux populism bolstered by elitist Hollywood enablers, and then cynically transformed into a phony social justice crusade for crass political gain,” concluded Malkin.
Unexpectedly, the liberal media came to Michelle Obama’s defense and attacked Melania Trump for good measure.
“CNN contributor Joan Walsh attacked Melania Trump on air Wednesday, saying that the first lady ‘continues to whine,’ and claimed that she was getting favorable treatment compared to her predecessor Michelle Obama,” reported Breitbart.
“Sometimes she spins things, or her people spin things, that she’s trying to be a good or a better influence,” Walsh said. “I don’t know about that – but the thing that struck me about that interview, you know, again, she continues to whine about a situation that she’s part of, and it’s a great honor to be
Let’s be fair. Michelle Obama has enjoyed high praise and adoration from the mainstream media for years, while Melania Trump is maligned and harassed. The first lady speaks five languages fluently, and there is no one who can’t say she isn’t gorgeous.
Yet, it’s Michelle Obama who reigns on the cover of the fashion magazines, when they refuse to give Melania the time of day. Then, we have to listen to Michelle cry about racism at Target. Maybe the mainstream media needs to read Michelle’s new book a little closer before they judge Melania Trump as the big complainer. Mrs. Obama has made it clear that she’s the biggest whiner of them all.
