Michelle Obama’s disastrous school lunches are coming back. President Donald Trump’s administration had eliminated the unpopular program, but Democrats found a sneaky way to help out the former first lady and bring back her signature lunch program to many states. Americans are making her regret it. You don’t want to miss this.

It looks like Michelle Obama’s good friend, New York’s Attorney General Letitia James, is doing her a solid. The Obama insider is leading a multi-state lawsuit to bring back the former first lady’s school lunch program. And we all know Michelle was livid when President Trump had his administration dump her legacy program.

“Think about why someone is OK with your kids eating crap,” said Michelle in May 2017, after she learned her lunch program was scrapped. “This is where you really have to look at motives, you know. You have to stop and think: why don’t you want our kids to have good food at school? What is wrong with you?”

If this is what the 55-year-old Obama was saying in public, we bet she was blasting Trump’s move to recall the school lunches in private. One of those who was listening was AG James.

“New York state Attorney General Letitia James announced a multi-state lawsuit against the Trump administration Wednesday claiming it illegally weakened federal nutritional standards for school lunches backed by former first lady Michelle Obama,” Fox News reports. “The lawsuit, which was brought by New York, California, Illinois, Minnesota, New Mexico, Vermont and Washington D.C., was filed in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.”

And she is encouraging other states to join her lawsuit. AG James also said the Trump administration, by rolling back nutritional requirements, was “attacking the health and the safety of our children,”

The states argue that the Trump administration’s Department of Agriculture (USDA) rollback of sodium limits and whole-grain requirements for school meals “lacks legally-mandated scientific basis” and “was adopted without public notice and opportunity to comment,” Fox New added.

“Over a million children in New York — especially those in low-income communities and communities of color — depend on the meals served daily by their schools to be healthy, nutritious and prepare them for learning,” AG James said.

Yet, according to most students, it did the exact opposite. The meals came with fewer calories and therefore kids were left with little energy in their classes. High school athletes, who needed the extra calories for after-school practices, were especially concerned about making it through the day.

And most parents and kids who were affected by Obama’s “healthy lunches” back in 2014 made their feelings known. “School kids around the country are tweeting rather unfortunate pictures of the meals they’re being served at lunchtime, and thanking first lady and healthy school food advocate Michelle Obama for their bowls of mush and mystery proteins,” the Washington Post reported.

Then there is the lack of taste issue. Here are a few tweets from 2014 from disgusted students:

Now that was back in 2014. Today, Americans are ticked off at Michelle and her cohorts who are once again trying to tell us how to parent.

“Just seeing this [story] now, are you? I was treated to this last night. Unelected and unappointed First Lady makes changes to school lunch menus which, for some reason, they go along with. President rescinds rules and schools are suing over…what exactly?” asked Twitter user “Physics Geek.”

“Or maybe, and I know this is crazy, how about the States set their own standards and then stop taking orders from DC?” posted Twitter user “1000thghost.” Actually, this is what the Trump administration did. They made this a “states issue” so every state can regulate school lunches, or not. Why do these leftists want the federal government regulating everything Americans do?

“It was failing so Trump scaled it back, these libs need to set aside their TDS [Trump Derangement Syndrome] and MAGA the school lunches again,” posted Cowboy Jeff. It was a horrendous program and an example of socialism at its worst. Lefty teachers were emboldened to take away home-brought lunches from many students and then scold the parents telling them the food wasn’t nutritious.

We don’t need the federal government dictating to parents what their kids will eat. It’s an absolute lie to say poor communities need this program. The Los Angeles Unified School District, which is the second largest school district in the country and covers many poor communities, has a breakfast and lunch program, and it’s totally free for lower-income families.

We never needed Michelle Obama’s pesky meddling. And last time we checked, she wasn’t the first lady anymore. Why can’t the Obamas accept they had eight years and its over? Make sure your family and friends get this information. Only by public push-back will Michelle and her cohorts get the message Americans aren’t on board with the government intruding as they waste taxpayers dollars to bring back her failed lunch program.
