Nancy & Dems Celebrate ‘Sad’ Impeachment With Souvenir Pens, Americans Torch Them

Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has been telling the American people that impeaching a sitting president is never anything to “celebrate.” The Speaker insisted that it is a very “sad and solemn” process. Then, Wednesday afternoon it all changed. That’s when Pelosi had a full-on celebration, smiling as she signed the articles of impeachment with souvenir pens. Well, Americans immediately torched Nancy and the Democrats. Don’t miss this.

Nancy Pelosi told us the impeachment process was very “prayerful” and “solemn.” That’s what she told all Americans as the House began the bogus impeachment hearings.

“This is a very sad time for our country. There is no joy in this,” Pelosi said. “We must be somber, we must be prayerful and we must pursue the facts further to make a decision as to, Did this violate the Constitution of the United States? Which I believe it did.”

On multiple times, the Speaker used the words “sad” and “solemn” and “prayerful.” That all changed on Wednesday afternoon as the Democrats celebrated in public.

Still, Pelosi kept to the lies this was “sad” even as she handed out commemorative pens — with her own signature embossed on each in gold writing.

The occasion was “so sad, so tragic for our country,” Pelosi told reporters, noting the “difficult time in our country’s history.” She then approached a table that had been prepared with the documents and two dishes full of pens for her to use — about half a dozen pens in each.

Pelosi then sat and signed the articles, one for “abuse of power” and one for “obstruction of Congress.” She applied each pen, paused every few seconds, switched pens, and then continued.

The two dishes were swapped out and replaced with two new ones after the first article of impeachment had been signed — presumably, different pens for different articles.

Despite pronouncing herself “sad,” Pelosi smiled throughout the signing.

She then handed out the pens to leaders of the Democratic Party caucus in the House, including House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY), House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Rep. Eliot Engel (D-NY), and others.

Americans were livid as Pelosi and her cohorts celebrated impeaching President Donald Trump with ridiculous souvenir pens.

“How many pens does it take to sign her name?? I look forward to them being for sale on eBay next week. An Impeachment by Democrats (only) will be remembered as a ‘Badge of Honor’ for Trumps eight-year Presidency. Thank you Pelosi for destroying the Democrats chances in 2020,” tweeted Dennis Barnhill.

He was responding to Laura Ingraham’s tweet: “Somber in The Power Pink Suit.”

“Souvenir pens, big smiles, patting each other on the back and shaking hands… definitely looks like the somber, prayerful moment Sen. Pelosi describes,” tweeted “TxPatriot.”

“WE finally know why Pelosi took so long to deliver the articles of impeachment to the Senate. . . . her show boat pens were on order,” tweeted Tina Golden.

“Pathetic. ‘Somber’ and ‘Prayerful’ Pelosi Smiles For the Cameras and Giggles as She Signs Articles of Impeachment Then Hands Out Pens,” tweeted GOP Rep. Steven Smith.

“Pelosi is behaving like a small child. Smiling whilst handing out impeachment pens? This is true evidence that she was not at all interested in fairness she is boasting a win well who won? Nobody. I am truly ashamed of this behavior. Disgusted also,” tweeted Henry Pinto Jr.

“Nancy Pelosi’s souvenir pens served up on silver platters to sign the sham articles of impeachment…She was so somber as she gave them away to people like prizes,” tweeted Stephanie Grisham, Trump’s Press Secretary.

It is unclear if the ceremony had any actual meaning, or whether it was merely a pantomime for the media. Eric Wasson of Bloomberg News reported that the Senate would not actually receive the articles until Thursday.

Pelosi and her party insisted on rushing impeachment through the House — even declining to call key witnesses or to pursue them through the courts — because they insisted that it was urgent the president be removed from office to prevent him from soliciting foreign interference in the 2020 election.

They then refused to deliver the articles of impeachment to the Senate for four weeks as they attempted to exert pressure on Republicans to adopt their terms for a trial, without success. The trial is scheduled to start on Tuesday, and this was Nancy Pelosi and her cohorts’ last hurrah.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has made it clear he is now the one running the show and anything the Democrats thought they could “ask for” is dead on arrival. So, let them whoop it up with these ridiculous pens. When this is over, those pens will be a painful reminder of how they helped Donald Trump win re-election.
