New Yorker Works At Football Field For 30 Yrs, Stuns Entire Stadium As Buffalo Bills Kneel

On Sunday, a New Yorker who had worked at New Era Field for almost thirty years witnessed the Buffalo Bills kneel during the playing of the National Anthem. What he decided to do next has gone viral on Facebook. The entire football stadium was left stunned after seeing the way Erich Nikischer responded to the self-entitled athletes who refuse to honor our country, our flag, and the men and women who have fought to defend those two precious things.

Several Buffalo Bills players knelt before the National Anthem on Sunday while others locked arms in protest of remarks made by President Donald Trump on Friday to his supporters in Alabama. Trump did not mince words when it came to professional athletes who kneel during the National Anthem, saying, “Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘Get that son of a bitch off the field right now.’ Out. He’s fired. He’s fired!”

Erich Nikischer was working at New Era Field, home to the Buffalo Bills, when he witnessed their shameful protest on Sunday. After almost thirty years on the job, he removed his uniform, took off his Buffalo Bills hat, and threw it on the ground before walking out of the stadium for the final time, effectively quitting his job because he was so disgusted.

“I waited until the National Anthem ended, I took off my shirt, threw my Bills hat on the ground, walked out,” said Nikischer. “During the National Anthem … the song that is about our country, our veterans that fight and die for us, it’s just something I feel you shouldn’t disrespect that way,” he added. “I believe people have the right to protest; I just don’t believe that’s the proper venue for it.”

Indeed, if any other American decided to make a political statement of this magnitude at their place of employment, they’d promptly be fired. You’re entitled to your own opinions, but they have no place at work, and when NFL players are on the football field, they’re at work.

According to Daily Caller, Nikischer did not make his decision lightly and says he will miss his fellow coworkers. However, he will continue to boycott the NFL until the protests stop. “I will never step foot in that place again, I will never watch an NFL football game again until this ends,” he said.

Nikischer shared a photo on Facebook of the moment he walked out of the Bills stadium for the final time, and it has since gone viral. He also shared a meme, which read, “Dear NFL, We will not support millionaire ingrates who hate America and disrespect our Armed Forces and Veterans. Who wins a football game has ZERO impact on our lives. Who fights for and defends our nation has EVERY impact on our lives. We stand with the Heroes, not a bunch of rich, entitled, arrogant, ungrateful, anti-American degenerates. Signed, We the People.”

Millions of Americans share Erich Nikischer’s sentiment and have stopped watching the NFL as a result. It’s the best thing to do if you’re disgusted by the protests of our National Anthem taking place on football fields across the country. Let’s hit these self-righteous bastards where it hurts — their pocketbooks.
