As time goes on, we see a frustrated Barack Obama get uglier and uglier as his popularity sinks to all-time lows, while policy after policy proves to be an abysmal failure. But as always, it’s never his fault, and it showed in a recent interview when he made some enraging comments about white men as he attacked presidential hopeful Donald Trump.
In a radio interview with National Public Radio that aired Monday morning, Obama accused Trump of playing off the fears of white, working-class men to get a jump in the polls, according to the New York Times. As if that’s not bad enough, the whiner-in-chief went on to play the race card and cited being the first black president as the reason that most of the country can’t stand his policies.
More from the Times:
President Obama said in a radio interview airing on Monday that Donald J. Trump, a leading contender for the Republican presidential nomination, is exploiting the resentment and anxieties of working-class men to boost his campaign. Mr. Obama also argued that some of the scorn directed at him personally stems from the fact that he is the first African-American to hold the White House.
Demographic changes and economic stresses, including “flatlining” wages and incomes, have meant that “particularly blue-collar men have had a lot of trouble in this new economy, where they are no longer getting the same bargain that they got when they were going to a factory and able to support their families on a single paycheck,” Mr. Obama said in the interview with National Public Radio.
“You combine those things, and it means that there is going to be potential anger, frustration, fear — some of it justified, but just misdirected,” the president added. “I think somebody like Mr. Trump is taking advantage of that. That’s what he’s exploiting during the course of his campaign.”
Isn’t that nice? Although he didn’t specifically say “white men,” the implication is abundantly present. Imagine if a white president said that black people were unhappy with him only because he’s white. But more importantly, did you happen to catch the stunning admission within his comments?
He said, “demographic changes and economic stresses” have caused some serious issues for working Americans in the “new economy,” which is quite telling, considering such changes weren’t made by God, but by Obama himself. So basically, he’s destroyed the economy for white, middle-class families, and now he’s turning around and saying they’re racist because they’re upset about it.
This guy is absolutely unreal. Seriously. I continue to say that 2017 can’t come soon enough, but at the same time, I really wish the Republican-led Congress would just impeach this guy already. Then again, that would take balls, and only a handful of Republicans seem to have them.
