Enjoy.)Over the weekend, Socialist darling Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tried to get into an online argument with Republican Steve Scalise. Her rabid followers even got into it, going as far as threatening the man who had already survived an assassination attempt. But the Republican congressman took the high ground. His response tells you everything you need to know about the GOP — and their pathetic rivals.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez might be the luckiest politician in the country. She rode into Congress making wild promises she just can’t keep. You might remember she won her primary by promising to abolish ICE, something she has neither the votes or the authority to do.
Today, she promises radical new government spending programs like “Medicare for All.” While her supporters in New York might like these handouts, even she cannot find a way to pay for the $40 trillion-plus program.
Her best solution is to charge massive taxes on Americans. Representative Steve Scalise wasn’t too keen on that solution. He took to Twitter to expose Ocasio-Cortez’s and the left’s idiotic plan to bankrupt Americans.

The newbie congresswoman responded. Like most young, entitled, and stupid Democrats, she went low.
Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) got nasty with Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) on Saturday after he accurately characterized comments she made in a recent interview. The 29-year-old bartender turned socialist politician asserted without evidence that Scalise did not know “how marginal tax rates work,” in response to his tweet.
Ocasio-Cortez then launched into an attack that had no correlation with Scalise’s tweet, writing: “Oh that’s right, almost forgot: GOP works for the corporate CEOs showering themselves in multi-million bonuses; not the actual working people whose wages + healthcare they’re ripping off for profit.” [Source: The Daily Wire]

Yeah, Ocasio-Cortez’s response doesn’t even make sense. Republicans worked tirelessly to give working Americans the biggest tax cut in decades in 2017. That tax cut means high wages, better jobs, and more opportunity. More Americans can now afford healthcare, thanks to the work of Republicans and President Trump.
Ocasio-Cortez’s plan would cripple our economy. Yet she doesn’t address that. Instead, she insults Scalise, claiming he’s a corporate shill (with no proof).
Following her lead, many liberals attacked Scalise. As you can expect, they called for violence against the lawmaker. I guess they either forgot this was the same Republican who miraculously survived an attack, or they were too stupid to even know that. Either way, it’s despicable.
Scalise, to his credit, made the wiser choice to encourage their debate on a better platform than Twitter.
Scalise responded by taking screenshots of the threats and tweeted: “Hi @AOC. Happy to continue this debate on the Floor of the People’s House, but it’s clearly not productive to engage here with some of your radical followers. #StayClassy”
One of her supporters, whose account made multiple positive statements about her, instructed her to “snipe his a*s.”
Another one of her supporters wrote: “she’s got better aim than [the Democratic terrorist that shot Scalise], that’s for sure.”

While Ocasio-Cortez is fine with siccing her dogs on Scalise over Twitter, he actually wants progress. Discussing their differences on the Floor might mean they can work together on a solution that helps all Americans. Yet Ocasio-Cortez is not one to address her rivals directly. She loves to take pot shots at conservatives online, but frequently ignores requests for an honest and open debate.
I guess it’s just easier for Ocasio-Cortez to attack someone on Twitter and let her followers make it worse. God forbid she actually does something productive on the House Floor.
This is a woman who barely understands how our economy or government works. She is a typical Democrat, making empty promises with no ability to back them up. Like the rest of her brood, she will coast on meaningless talking points, supported by a heavily-liberal district who will vote for her year after year.
But she will never accomplish anything meaningful for America.
I’m looking forward to the day Scalise gets to debate her in D.C. But I’m not holding my breath until it happens.
Con artists like Ocasio-Cortez need to be exposed. All Americans have to see what kind of losers Democrats are electing to public office.
