Enjoy.)Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez sent out her holiday greetings on Christmas morning, and she made it political. The former bartender rejoiced that the Christ-child was born a refugee in a manger. She also claimed Mary and Joseph were refugee parents. But that’s not all. The Democratic darling wouldn’t back down when corrected, and that’s when she got utterly destroyed. You’ll love this.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just couldn’t help herself. The avowed Socialist loves to mix politics with religion, and she wrongly thinks her Marxist beliefs somehow are the answer to everything wrong with our American society.
The 29-year-old woman sees the Christmas story as a way to promote her tainted views of the border crisis. “Joy to the World!” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted. “Merry Christmas everyone – here’s to a holiday filled with happiness, family, and love for all people. (Including refugee babies in mangers + their parents.)”
Americans were rightly angered by her ignorance. The former senior adviser to President Donald Trump, Dr. Sebastin Gorka, responded, “You really should read the Bible @Ocasio2018. Mother Mary and St. Joseph were NOT refugees. In fact, by traveling to The Town of King David as part of the Roman census, they were obeying national laws. Exactly the opposite of a refugee or an Illegal Alien. Facts: TRY THEM.”
Pro-life speaker and author Allie Beth Stuckey blasted Alexandra, tweeting, “I really, really encourage you to read the Bible for yourself. You may be surprised by what God has to say about life inside the womb, the wisdom in border walls, and the dangers of tyranny!”
Then, Daily Caller reporter Derek Hunter really let the newly elected Representative from New York have it, posting, “Mary and Joseph weren’t refugees, moron. They were on their way to pay their taxes, as mandated by Rome. You’re now Rome, by the way.”
Wow, that had to sting. Telling Ocasio-Cortez she now is Rome, the equivalent of everything she purports to hate, caused the leftist darling to grasp at straws to make her point. That’s right, the 29-year-old dug herself in deeper when she cited an article in America Magazine to prove she is right about Jesus being a refugee, like those we see on our Southern border.
Ocasio-Cortez doubled down by tweeting out what she thought would be her “drop the mic” moment. “For all the anti-immigrant pundits uncomfortable with and denying that Christ’s family were refugees, too,” tweeted Ocasio-Cortez. She attached an article titled, “Were Jesus, Mary and Joseph refugees? Yes.”
“Ocasio-Cortez did not realize that the article she tweeted out actually refuted her claim that Jesus was a refugee in a manger, i.e. at birth, as it spoke about the story of the Flight into Egypt,” reported the Daily Wire.
The other problem is that the article is written by disgraced Father James Martin, SJ. Lifesite reports, “America Magazine, whose most visible face remains that of LGBT-promoting Fr. James Martin, SJ, has on its staff a self-described communist who actively promotes gay ‘marriage,’ transgenderism, and abortion.”
The Socialistic Representative is citing a known pro-Communistic magazine. Of course, those Commies are going to push the Holy Family as “refugees” when they had to flee into Egypt. The huge difference between the Holy Family and those economic migrants rushing our borders is Joseph was told in a dream by God that Jesus’ life was in imminent danger.
“However, in the Gospel of Matthew, Mary and Joseph flee into Egypt with the infant Jesus after King Herod of Judea orders the murder of every boy aged two and under in Bethlehem after the Magi ask him where to find the newborn ‘King of the Jews,'” Fox News reports. “The Holy Family escape the slaughter and are told by an angel to return to Israel once Herod is dead.”
America has always been a beacon to those being legitimately persecuted around the world. During the Cold War, many times we embraced and took in those being held captive by Communistic states when they could defect. This is not the same situation we see today. The migrants from South America are seeking better jobs. They have been swayed by leftist organizations who lie to them that they too can have the American dream.
Joseph and Mary were not fleeing into Egypt to find better employment. They were told Jesus would be slaughtered if they did not leave Bethlehem. They did not break any laws fleeing to Egypt.
Ocasio-Cortez needs to check herself when she starts pontificating about refugees and the Holy Family. The ditzy Democratic darling is caught talking out of her behind once again, proving she has no business representing anyone or anything in Washington, D.C.
