Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been at it again, calling President Donald Trump a “racist.” Trump was having none of it, though, and he destroyed the 29-year-old socialist with two simple words when reporters confronted him at the White House on Monday.

During a “60 Minutes” interview earlier this month, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said there’s “no question” that President Donald Trump is a racist.

In a 60 Minutes interview that touched on a number of subjects, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said there’s “no question” President Trump is racist. The comment came after correspondent Anderson Cooper asked Ocasio-Cortez, “Do you believe President Trump is a racist?”

“Yeah. Yeah. No question,” Ocasio-Cortez replied.

“When you look at the words that he uses, which are historic dog whistles of white supremacy,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “When you look at how he reacted to the Charlottesville incident, where neo-Nazis murdered a woman, versus how he manufactures crises like immigrants seeking legal refuge on our borders, it’s night and day.”

“The president certainly didn’t invent racism,” she added, “But he’s certainly given a voice to it and expanded it and created a platform for those things.”

In response, the deputy White House press secretary said, “Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez’s sheer ignorance on the matter can’t cover the fact that President Trump supported and passed historic criminal justice reform and has repeatedly condemned racism and bigotry in all forms.”

The political left loves to hurl insults at the president, calling him a “racist” and a “xenophobe” and a “misogynist” and a long list of other derogatory names. But nothing could be further from the truth. In reality, Trump has done more for minority communities than any of his predecessors, including the first black President of the United States, Barack Obama.

When Obama left office, race relations were at their lowest point since the days of segregation. Today, there is nowhere better to be a person of color than in the United States of America. In fact, President Trump has achieved the lowest black unemployment numbers on record, a historic mark of progress for a community which has notoriously struggled with upward mobility.

According to Bureau of Labor Statistics data, unemployment amongst black Americans fell in November to 5.9 percent, tying a record low previously set by President Trump in May.

While the unemployment picture for black Americans is still higher than other demographic groups, it had never fallen below 7 percent since the Bureau of Labor Statistics began tracking the statistic in 1972. The rate for Hispanics is 4.5 percent, while whites are at 3.4 percent, and Asians stand at 2.7 percent.

The black unemployment rate also hit 5.9 percent in May, then a first-time record.

Employment in manufacturing has increased by 288,000 over the year, BLS reported, with transportation and warehousing adding 192,000 jobs, and professional and business services adding 561,000. [Source: The Daily Caller]

For this reason and a multitude of others, President Trump did not seem at all fazed by criticism he has received from the likes of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez when he was confronted by reporters on Monday.

“Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez has called you a racist,” shouted a reporter as Trump was departing for New Orleans.

“Who did?” Trump asked.

“Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez,” the reporter repeated.

“Who cares?” Trump responded with a dismissive wave of his hand.

Indeed, President Donald Trump has bigger fish to fry than the 29-year-old socialist who’s been elected to Congress by the misguided people of New York. He’s trying to end a government shutdown. He’s trying to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border to finally solve our immigration problems. He’s responsible for the safety and security of the American people. He simply doesn’t have time for an idiot like Ocasio-Cortez.
