What makes this scandal even worse for the Minnesota Congresswoman is her alleged lover’s wife, Dr. Beth Jordan Mynett, a Washington D.C. mom, named Omar as the primary reason her marriage broke down and is seeking divorce. In fact, Mynett made sure all the tawdry details were in the divorce papers.
According to The New York Post, Mynett’s wife, Beth Jordan Mynett, has cited an extramarital affair as the reason for her divorce filing. Specifically, she claims her husband “made a shocking declaration of love” for Omar before telling his wife he was leaving her for the Congresswoman.
Per the publication, a partial excerpt of the court filing reads, “The parties physically separated on or about April 7, 2019, when Defendant told Plaintiff that he was romantically involved with and in love with another woman, Ilhan Omar.”
This wife, Beth Mynett, is a woman scorned, and she is doubly pissed off after she learned Rep. Omar had been inside her home without her knowledge. Most people see their home as sacred and off-limits in this type of situation.
However, Omar allegedly didn’t leave it to sneaking visits to her lover’s home while the wife was at work, she took it to the next level.
Beth Mynett is seeking primary physical custody of her and her husband’s son in part because of Tim Mynett’s “extensive travel” with Omar, the document says.
“Defendant’s more recent travel and long work hours now appear to be more related to his affair with Rep. Omar than with his actual work commitments,” the court papers state.
The doctor also argued that she doesn’t trust her estranged husband’s judgment with their son — in part because of his alleged relationship with Omar.
“By way of example, days prior to Defendant’s devastating and shocking declaration of love for Rep. Omar and admission of their affair, he and Rep. Omar took the parties’ son to dinner in order to formally meet for the first time at the family’s favorite neighborhood restaurant while Plaintiff was out of town,” the papers state.
“Rep. Omar gave the parties’ son a gift and the Defendant later brought her back inside the family’s home,” the papers add.
“The 37-year-old congresswoman and mom of three paid Tim Mynett and his E. Street Group approximately $230,000 through her campaign since 2018 for fundraising consulting, digital communications, internet advertising, and travel expenses,” The New York Post adds.
Americans weighed in on this new Omar scandal, and it wasn’t pretty.

The development comes after a Daily Mail report stating Omar is no longer living with her husband, Ahmed Hirsi, who she fired as a policy advisor. Before Hirsi, the Minnesota Democrat was married to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi. Omar has faced scrutiny stemming from a joint tax return she filed with Hirsi in 2014 and 2015 — before they were actually married and while Omar was legally wed to another man.
Omar has claimed that she married Hirsi, who then went by Ahmed Aden, in an Islamic ceremony in 2002, though never married legally. The pair split up 2008 and she married Elmi, legally, the next year. Even though the lawmaker split from Elmi in 2011, she remained married to him while she filed tax returns with Hirsi. Records show she divorced Elmi before marrying Hirsi. Elmi has faced allegations that he is Omar’s brother, a claim that Omar has denied.
Rep. Ilhan Omar is a fraud who rode the wave the Democratic Party put in place to get “woman of color” elected to public office. This is what happens when the leftist media complies and refuses to vet candidates with the same level of scrutiny they would give to any GOP candidate. Omar was a mistake from the start, and Minnesotans in her district should be thoroughly convinced she doesn’t inspire trust or elevation to public office.
