As Pelosi Is Accused Of Being ‘Out Of Touch,’ She Utters 2 Words Proving It

Ever since Hillary Clinton lost the election, the Democrat Party has been accused of being “out of touch,” and perhaps none more so than House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). Unfortunately for Pelosi, things just got so much worse after she proved how far gone she is with the 2 words that she uttered while all eyes were on her.

Pelosi’s moment of utter failure came during Monday’s press conference, just one day after she was drilled by Meet The Press host Chuck Todd on whether her party’s leadership was out of touch with the current political climate, Free Beacon reports.

“While it’s only been a couple of weeks since the inauguration, we’ve seen nothing that I can work with President Bush on,” the nearly three-decade veteran of Congress said, mistakenly referring to President Donald Trump as “President Bush.”

You can’t even make this stuff up, but unfortunately, it got even worse for Pelosi as you can see in the video.

Although Pelosi didn’t seem to notice her obvious error, it certainly appeared that the congressional members behind her did, but they chose not to correct or interrupt her, looking on with horror instead. Perhaps someone should have asked if she meant the 41st or 43rd President of the United States or just reminded her that we’re now on the 45th.

While many will dismiss this, saying she simply misspoke, it’s a noticeable mistake, especially when she’s been accused of being oblivious to the current political climate — even by her own party. The fact that there hasn’t been a President Bush in office for over 8 years doesn’t help Pelosi’s case either.

The senior moment came just after comments by Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.), who in a speech over the weekend indicated her belief that Democratic leadership has lost touch with the current electorate.

“Does the Democratic Party need new leaders to touch base on this stuff?” NBC’s Todd asked Pelosi after showing a clip of Warren’s speech. “Whether it’s Hillary Clinton, yourself, Chuck Schumer—you’ve all been in power a long time and there was a rejection of that in the 2016 election.”

“We have plenty of room for all kinds of leadership at every level, but right now we need experience as well,” said Pelosi.

Pelosi then stated that she too was once a “new leader.”

“I was a new leader when I emerged myself, so I’m all for that,” Pelosi said. [Source: Free Beacon]

In Pelosi’s defense, her party has blamed George W. Bush for everything they could think of over the last 8 years, so perhaps the name was still fresh in her mind. I’m sure it’s somehow Bush’s fault. Yes, that’s said in jest. The truth is, Nancy Pelosi is the poster child for term limits. After nearly 3 decades, it’s clear that Botox Nan only sees party lines, so much so, she inserts the name of any Republican as the problem.

Nancy Pelosi and the out of touch Democrats like her are the problem, and the American people, across both party lines, let them know it on November 8, 2016, but like a bad virus, Pelosi won’t go away. If she insists on sticking around, she needs to focus on fixing her own party since she doesn’t even seem to know who’s even in office from the other side. Pathetic.
