However, you wouldn’t know it based on the majority of the mainstream news today. Their partisan whistleblower’s attorneys sent word to Pelosi and Schiff last night, making it clear that their client has folded and that this impeachment case has fallen apart. You’re going to love this.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her comrade in this impeachment farce, House Intel Chairman Adam Schiff, wrongly calculated President Donald Trump would not de-classify his phone call with the Ukrainian president.
They received devastating news last night from the so-called whistleblower, who has been exposed as a Democrat with ties to Joe Biden. When Trump de-classified the actual transcript, they had to know their farce would eventually fall apart.
“Lawyers for the CIA officer whose whistleblower complaint helped ignite an impeachment inquiry into President Trump have asked Congress whether their client could submit testimony in writing instead of appearing in person,” Wall Street Journal reported last night.
Let that sink in. Impeach the duly elected president of the United States by way of writing a letter to Congress instead of testifying in court? Do these Democrats actually think that’s going to fly?
“It was already ridiculous to think a presidential impeachment, to remove the most powerful elected political representative of The United States, could continue based on an anonymous complaint. However, expecting the same complainant/accuser to remain invisible during the process is so far beyond nonsensical, the light from where nonsense emanates wouldn’t reach this narrative for a year,” Conservative Treehouse reports.
“The request reflects concerns about whether the whistleblower could testify to Democrats and Republicans without revealing his identity, and fears that doing so would lead to it being publicly leaked, jeopardizing his personal safety,” Wall Street Journal adds.
This is an assinine excuse and proves just how badly things have fallen apart behind the scenes.
As we previously reported, this impeachment inquiry isn’t valid in the first place. Then, whatever fake impeachment circus the Democrats have been holding thus far on Capitol Hill has been in closed session. It’s barred from the public. If Shifty Schiff and Pelosi thought their kangaroo court proceedings had any nugget of merit for the American people to see, you bet they would have open sessions.
So, for the attorneys of the whistleblower to think their client’s identity can remain anonymous when they are in effect attempting to remove the sitting president is preposterous. They are even refusing to show up in closed session.
“Yes, feel free to pummel the left-wing nuts based on the absurdity of this request. Only the most raving Moonbat imaginable would think they could impeach a sitting U.S. President via a ‘Dear Sir’ complaint letter to congress,” CTH adds. “These are obviously not stable-minded people. Oh, please, please, please hold that impeachment vote now. It is more clear than ever where this nuttery is heading.”
Perhaps he could testify via text messages, or wait, even better, via tweets.
This was always going to fall apart after President Trump called their bluff and de-classified the transcript. The Democrats’ original plan was to use the classified Ukraine phone call as fodder to speculate via the leftist press: “Trump is covering up the evidence. Only our whistleblower can shed light on the president’s dereliction of duty, and his offenses against the United States.”
You get the picture. The Democrats planned to leak to their cohorts in the mainstream media all types of twisted tidbits about the phone call, building it up to be this grave matter of impeachment. It’s how they have operated during Trump’s entire presidency.
Then, have their Democrat informant, with ties to Joe Biden, saunter into open hearings and back up those twisted tidbits with his heartfelt dramatic testimony while the entire nation sits mesmerized watching it all unfold on live TV.
Just two days ago, Henry Kyle Frese, who was working for the Defense Intelligence Agency, was arrested for allegedly leaking national security secrets to the media. “[L]ike so many other federal employees in Washington, D.C. — [Frese] is full of hatred toward Donald Trump and willing to use his personal power and a government job to attack the president and conservatives,” PJ Media reports.
As you can see, leaking in Washington D.C. is what the Trump-haters do, and it was an integral part of this impeachment scam if it was going to succeed. But Trump screwed it all up. We can all read the transcript for ourselves. So, their partisan informant is saying he isn’t going on national TV to testify to anything. He’s out, thank you very much.
Our president has enemies surrounding him, and yet, they haven’t been able to get rid of him despite the repeated attempts. And there is no way the American people will allow the main witness for impeachment to not testify in open court and be cross-examined.
It’s the very principle of our system of justice. Every citizen, including the president, has the right to face his accuser in open court and to have that accuser be subject to thorough cross-examination. Especially if that accuser is attempting to undo the will of 63 million Americans who voted for Trump in 2016.
