David Hogg has emerged as one of the most vocal gun control activists in the country following the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. The media and the Democrats love him, which should be your first clue that something’s amiss. Most recently, Hogg took to social media to issue a sick threat, but he made a big mistake, which he only realized after it was already too late.
It has now been nearly one month since the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. In the wake of this senseless tragedy, several things have happened. For one, we have learned of severe shortcomings within our law enforcement agencies, which had ample opportunity to prevent the Valentine’s Day massacre, but instead, they did not act.
This was evidenced when news emerged that the FBI had received a tip about the shooter, 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz, but never followed up. The nation was collectively taken aback when reports surfaced that officers of the law waited outside the entrance to MSD as Cruz opened fire inside the school instead of pursuing him and taking him down.
Another unique circumstance which has emerged in the weeks following the massacre in Parkland involves students who survived the mass shooting and are now being used by the media and the Democratic Party to stump for their gun control agenda. The most notorious of these juvenile activists is David Hogg.
Hogg has been covered extensively by the media for doing everything from wearing Nazi armbands to hanging up on President Donald Trump. Meanwhile, his peers have received little to no attention at all. Sadly, it’s as if the left is saying that their lives just don’t matter as much and that their stories are simply not as worthwhile because they are not willing to shill for the DNC.
Over the weekend, David Hogg made the news once again for the same reason he’s made headlines countless times before. He was caught pushing gun control yet again when he took to Twitter to beg his many new followers to get “in direct contact with your representatives.”
He tweeted, “Spread the message, call them during your walkouts or everyday for that matter!” Hogg then provided a script to read off with blank spaces to fill in information relevant to the caller, according to IJR.
Please RT: Get in direct contact with your representatives with the number 1844872023. Spread the message, call them during your walkouts or everyday for that matter! If you can't speak as well as you would like, here's a script to help. MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD pic.twitter.com/oLNcI9pdm6

By admitting that his peers need a simple script when contacting their lawmakers, Hogg inadvertently exposed the fact that all of the high schoolers screaming for gun control and walking out of their schools really have no idea what they’re talking about. Apparently, they can’t even put a few sentences together when calling the elected officials whom they’re now threatening to “vote out of office.”
Meanwhile, many of the same students who hang on Hogg’s every word are planning to walk out of their schools on Wednesday. “The final goal is to unite the school and get the gun control we feel we deserve,” said Mary Beck, a Chicago-area student who attends Lyons Township High School. “We’re going to come outside and form a human chain. United in what we believe in,” she added.
Beck is one of many students who plan to join in a national walkout on Wednesday in protest of gun violence, much to the dismay of school administrators. “To disrupt school and put themselves in a potentially unsafe situation, we’re saying they don’t have a First Amendment right to do that,” commented Bruce Law, Superintendent for Hinsdale School District 86.
Still, many students say they plan to walk out between 10 and 10:17 a.m. on Wednesday in memory of the 17 lives lost at MSD, according to NBC 5.
Chicago Public Schools’ policy on student demonstrations states, “Students who walk out and do not return should be marked as an unexcused absence and their parents should be notified that the student has left school grounds and not returned after student walk out.”
These walkouts will accomplish the same thing as Hogg’s tweets — absolutely nothing. Most of the students walking out and making their scripted threats cannot even vote. That’s a very good thing, too, when you consider how misguided they are. Perhaps Hogg and his cronies should pay a bit more attention in their history classes, particularly during the lessons about what happened to certain societies whose guns were taken by the government.
