Sasha Obama may have missed her father’s final speech in order to allegedly study for an exam, but school books were the furthest thing from her mind this weekend as she partied it up in Miami with her girlfriends. A slew of revealing photos of the 15-year-old First Daughter on her weekend getaway have surfaced, but one, in particular, is going viral as people notice one thing about her appearance.
In the photograph, Sasha is walking around Miami in a star-printed bikini and oversized chambray shirt. She completed the laid back look with a baseball cap bearing the logo of rapper Drake’s band, October’s Very Own. According to Opposing Views, Drake immediately took notice of the hat and posted a photo of Sasha on his Instagram with the caption, “Style Popper.”
Sasha Obama and her mother are big fans of the sexually suggestive music by celebrities like Drake and Beyoncé. Even President Barack Obama has bought into the fanfare, famously saying at a fundraiser in 2012 that “Beyoncé could not be a better role model for my girls.” Yes, cop-hating, BLM-loving, Beyoncé.
“Beyoncé could not be a better role model for my girls because she carries herself with such class and poise and has so much talent,” Barack Obama said while campaigning for re-election.
And, let’s not forget the time Michelle Obama tweeted, “Happy birthday to the one and only, Queen [B]! Thank you for being a role model for young girls around the world.” The First Lady’s statement received massive amounts of backlash from those who do not think it appropriate for young girls to aspire to what Beyoncé has become – an entertainment whore who parades around in nearly no clothing while singing sexually explicit lyrics.

When you consider her parents, it’s no wonder Sasha finds these sort of “role models” acceptable. Teenage girls shouldn’t be encouraged to look up the likes of Drake and Beyoncé, whose lives can be summed up by the mantra “sex sells.” It certainly is not becoming of a First Daughter.
