At a recent Donald Trump rally, a story came out, detailing his roots in Christianity. This story is going viral with so many Christians worried about persecutions that the Obama regime has inflicted on Christians in America. The story reveals a little known connection between Reverend Billy Graham and the claim a “prophetic word” was given by him to Trump on his 60th birthday.
At a rally in Orlando, Florida, Pastor Paula White was speaking with the crowd, when she shared the history of Trump’s generous nature, giving large donations to little known ministries. At one point, the pastor told her story of obtaining a Bible signed by Reverend Billy Graham:
Paula White defended Republican front-runner Donald Trump’s faith at a recent rally in central Florida. The megachurch pastor told attendees at a rally that Trump truly is a man of God, detailing how his faith influences how he treats people and his ministry donations.
She says she wanted to honor him, so for his 60th birthday, she sought out a gift like no other: a signed Bible by Billy Graham. “For his 60th birthday, Billy Graham wrote a prophetic word and a letter for Mr. Trump,” White says. [via Conservative Post]
While the story started to go viral, the term “prophetic” was curious, so The Christian Post dug deeper, obtaining this from Billy Graham’s ministries:
Lisa Moseley, senior BGEA public relations specialist, said in an e-mail sent to The Christian Post that Graham did write something for Trump. However, his dedication was just a simple “God bless you” greeting.
Trump did attend Billy Graham’s 95th birthday party 2 years ago, and he has socialized with Graham for years. As Billy Graham retired, his son Franklin Graham has come out saying positive things about Trump. Franklin Graham is not endorsing any candidate, but he has spoken on Trump in the past:
“When I first heard about him entering, I thought it was a joke. The more I listen to him, the more I say: ‘Maybe he’s right.’ … Certainly, America needs somebody like a Donald Trump who’s got business experience to get us out of the mess that Republicans and Democrats alike have gotten us into,” he told Christianity Today in 2011.
Franklin Graham recently agreed with Trump in a Facebook post on the Iran deal:
And Donald J. Trump was exactly right when he said, “we have four prisoners over there. We should have said ‘Let the prisoners out.'” One of these prisoners is our friend Pastor Saeed Abedini, and I haven’t heard the names of any of these four U.S. citizens mentioned in the negotiations with Iran.
A “prophetic word” could be the 2011 words of Franklin Graham. In a way, he was pointing out what many voters are responding to – Trump’s business experience and his being a Washington outsider. Graham could see what many could not fathom back in 2011, that Trump could actually break through the GOP establishment and their PACs (political action committees) and be the front-runner.
What is the take away from all of this for Christians? Trump is not running for President of Christianity, but you bet he will not allow the government to run over our First Amendment rights or persecute Christians by making us deny our consciences.
The Obama regime relishes making Christians look like monsters, making sure our values become mocked and destroyed. We are done with that, and Trump has been clear — Christian values will no longer be trampled on starting January 20th, 2017.
