Redford: Time For Trump’s ‘Dictator-Like’ Presidency To End, Gets Rude Awakening

Robert Redford is another deluded Hollywood actor who feels it is his right to tell us what to think. The 83-year-old celebrity only manages to prove he’s brainwashed. “We’re up against a crisis I never thought I’d see in my lifetime: a dictator-like attack by President Donald Trump on everything this country stands for,” wrote Redford. But that’s not all he said, and that’s why he got a rude awakening the leftist actor won’t forget.

Iconic actor and filmmaker Robert Redford has accused President Donald Trump of launching a “dictator-like attack” on the values of the United States, declaring that his “monarchy in disguise” must quickly come to an end.

In an op-ed published Tuesday for NBC News’ THINK opinion section, the 83-year-old actor called on leaders on both sides of the political divide to remove Trump from office.

“We’re up against a crisis I never thought I’d see in my lifetime: a dictator-like attack by President Donald Trump on everything this country stands for,” wrote Redford.

“It’s time for Trump to go — along with those in Congress who have chosen party loyalty over their oath to ‘solemnly affirm’ their support for the Constitution of the United States. And it’s up to us to make that happen, through the power of our votes.”

Redford may forget we did vote, in 2016.

That’s when Donald Trump shocked the world by defeating their chosen one, Hillary Clinton, in a landslide electoral defeat. It’s kind of funny how these so-called “great minds” refuse to accept the will of the American people.

The actor added that he was willing to give Trump a chance to prove himself when he was elected president in 2016, but he has since concluded Trump is a threat to the United States.

“When Trump was elected, though he was not my choice, I honestly thought it only fair to give the guy a chance,” he explained. “And like many others, I did. But almost instantly he began to disappoint and then alarm me. I don’t think I’m alone.”

Here, Redford, like all the other Trump-haters, will not point to one thing Trump has done that “began to disappoint and then alarm” him. It’s all shrouded in mystery.

“What is happening, right now, is so deeply disturbing that instead of the United States of America, we are now defined as the Divided States of America,” he continued. “Leaders on both sides lack the fundamental courage to cross political aisles on behalf of what is good for the American people.”

No, Democrats did cross the aisle.

In fact, there was bipartisan support to not impeach President Trump. This is another instance where Mr. Redford exposes himself as an uninformed naysayer. Redford also appeared to compare Trump’s presidency to World War II, the Watergate crisis, and the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. Of course, he did.

Well, most Americans are much more informed than poor Robbie Redford, and they let him know he’s just another ignorant Hollywood leftist.

“I think 99% of all Hollywood Actors are just that. Actors. They know nothing and their opinions are worthless. Stick to acting,” tweeted “Hillbilly Vet.”

“You old fool, no one cares what you think! Crawl back into your Fake Universe and fade away quietly!” tweeted “Emo Knows.”

“Robert Redford is another deranged Hollywood liberal clown. Add him to the likes of Robert de Niro and Barbra Streisand, two more dummies. Trump is doing an amazing job as president. Trump 2020,” tweeted “General Patton.”

“If Trump was a dictator Robert Redford, Robert de Niro, Madonna & the rest would be in jail or disappeared. Antifa would be imprisoned or disappeared. The constitution would be overturned. These idiots don’t see that the closest we have to dictators can all be found on the left,” tweeted Twitter user “Robert.”

“The old fossil has been actor Robert Redford is comparing the Trump presidency, to a dictatorship..if it really was a dictatorship, Redford and other imbeciles like him would be in prison or in a concentration camp, along with 99% of the corrupt, slimy media,” tweeted “Dyanara.”

These Americans make a great point. If this country was being ruled by a real-life dictator there is no way idiots like Redford would be able to freely give their ignorant opinion on Trump.

But hey, these actors and celebrities love China and Cuba. Of course, until international pressure surfaced, you can only have one child in China. Scared parents spoke in hushed terms about babies girls being drowned in rivers. China still imprisons political “dissidents,” Catholic priests and Christian ministers —you cannot freely practice any religion but may attend the state-sponsored “church.”

Cuba’s residents long to get on rafts in shark-infested waters while they hope to get to Florida. They are an impoverished nation and have no freedom. But Robert Redford, who has scuba-dived with Fidel Castro and loves what he has done with his country, has the audacity to call Trump a dictator?

These same ignorant Hollywood actors all support the new and improved Democrat Party, which is modeled after Mao Zedong and Joseph Stalin’s socialistic-communistic utopias. But hey, we Trump supporters are the stupid ones. Maybe it’s time for Redford and his ilk to wise up.

Trump supporters are the backbone of this great nation.

We are the teachers, the police officers, the small business owners, the steelworkers, the coal miners, the nurses, and the little people in flyover country who were smarter than every Hollywood bigshot who supported Hillary Clinton.

We saved this great nation from ruin. So, the Hollywood crowd should stick to what they are good at— entertaining us. Leave the election of presidents to the majority of Americans who have done a pretty damn good job of picking the right person, more or less, for over 200 years. We are sick and tired of this leftist “resistance” to the man we chose in 2016. And when Trump is re-elected in 2020, it will be high time for those like Robert Redford to finally accept Trump is the will of the American people.
