Mitt Romney, who is known as a “Republican in Name Only,” came out with a big statement trashing President Donald Trump’s national emergency order to fund the border wall, along with urging his fellow GOP senators to vote against it. Like the late Senator John McCain, there’s a sick reason the new Utah senator is opposing Trump, and the president likely just made him regret it. Don’t miss this.
President Trump did what Mitt Romney and John McCain could never do. He won the presidency. And there is one big reason Trump defeated the Democrats: he refused to be beholden to the GOP elite who do not want to see the Southern border secure.
It really shouldn’t be a surprise that Mitt Romney is trashing Trump’s national emergency order. The carpetbagger, who left Massachusetts and moved to Utah to win a Senate seat, has become a thorn in Trump’s side as he rallies GOP senators to vote against the much-needed border wall funding.
“This is a vote for the Constitution and for the balance of powers that is at its core,” Romney said. “For the Executive Branch to override a law passed by Congress would make it the ultimate power rather than a balancing power.”
“I am seriously concerned that overreach by the Executive Branch is an invitation to further expansion and future presidents,” Romney declared. “We experience a similar erosion of congressional authority with President Obama’s unilateral immigration orders– which I strenuously opposed. In the case before us now, where Congress has enacted specific policy, to consent to an emergency declaration would be both inconsistent with my beliefs and contrary to my oath to defend the Constitution.”
What about the president’s oath to defend the nation from enemies foreign and domestic? In fact, it’s the president who must defend the country from hordes of illegals bombarding our border. Homeland Security estimates there are one million illegals headed to our Southern border.
“At the current pace, we are on track to encounter close to one million illegal aliens at our southern border this year,” DHS Sec. Kirstjen Nielsen said last week. “In February, we encountered more than 2700 illegal aliens a day on pace for approximately 990,000 over the year.”
Those numbers are frightening. For Romney to argue he’s worried about a future president who will misuse his executive power isn’t a good enough reason for President Trump to allow the border crisis to go unchecked. If one million illegals headed to our border isn’t a national emergency, then what is?
“These senators have said they oppose any form of executive overreach, which includes former President Barack Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) illegal alien amnesty,” Breitbart reports. “However, one federal district judge ruled in August 2018 that DACA was illegal, whereas many lawyers have argued that Trump has the authority under the National Emergencies Act of 1976 to reappropriate money to build the wall.”
Romney doesn’t care about the Constitution. Mitt Romney is part of the GOP elite who are beholden to the US Chamber of Commerce crowd who advocate for open borders.
“The open border position of the crony-capitalistic U.S. Chamber of Commerce is only one of the issues that showcase the hidden agenda of their heavily lobbied influence upon Republicans in Congress. The Chamber of Commerce spends hundreds of millions writing legislation and paying off the UniParty (RINO’s & Democrats) to deliver on their multinational corporate agenda,” the Conservative Treehouse reports.
President Trump doesn’t owe the Chamber of Commerce crowd anything. They want open borders to keep their labor costs low. They are globalists. This is why the old guard GOP hated the idea of a Trump presidency. Then, we have the Democrats who want open borders to beef up their voter rolls.
Well, President Trump gave Mitt and his cohorts — Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME), Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), and Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) — a wake-up call on their no vote on the national emergency order.
Trump tweeted: “Prominent legal scholars agree that our actions to address the National Emergency at the Southern Border and to protect the American people are both CONSTITUTIONAL and EXPRESSLY authorized by Congress. If at a later date, Congress wants to update the law, I will support those efforts, but today’s issue is BORDER SECURITY and Crime!!! Don’t vote with Pelosi!”

Americans were upset with RINO Romney. “No, you miserable POS, it’s a vote against Trump. You prioritize your butthurt before the safety of Americans,” said Twitter user “23.”

“Just how many ways can Mitt Romney demonstrate how out of touch he is with American voters? He exemplifies what is wrong with Congress,” tweeted Chris Murphy. Romney is filling the shoes of John McCain. Big business allies connected with the US Chamber of Commerce convinced Romney to run, and he is in Congress to defy the president every step of the way.

As more and more Americans find out that Mitt Romney’s real allegiance is to his globalist buddies and the old guard GOP big money families, his days will be numbered. We don’t need traitors to the American people in Congress, especially when they cloak themselves as “conservatives” when nothing could be further from the truth.
Make no mistake: Mitt Romney is in Congress to bring Trump down. He won’t campaign for him in 2020, and he will continue to be a thorn in his side. Let all your family and friends know Mitt Romney is an open border globalist, and he doesn’t give a damn about stopping the real and present danger at the border.
