Roseanne Barr was spurred on by the recent on-air feud between Whoopi Goldberg and Judge Jeanine Pirro, and now she is setting the record straight. “To hell with ABC,” said Barr as she lashed out, rocking the network by spilling the real reason they fired her. Barr’s shocking admission left ABC no choice but to give Whoopi Goldberg a nasty surprise that was played out on live TV.
When Roseanne Barr re-launched her 1990’s mega-hit TV series Roseanne earlier this year, it was an instant success. Which is no small feat when it comes to TV ratings now that Americans have thousands of choices. In fact, the 2018 Roseanne was the number one rated show on TV this year.
Vanity Fair reported in April 2018, “Its premiere shattered ratings expectations, netting more viewers than the comedy’s original series finale back in 1997. Donald Trump, as many know, even called Roseanne Barr to congratulate her on the ratings win. Evidently, ABC’s bet on a show featuring a Trump-supporting matriarch has paid off.”
So why did ABC really fire Roseanne Barr within 40 minutes of her posting the now infamous tweet about Barack Obama’s closest adviser, Valerie Jarrett? Let’s face it. When it comes to making money along with having the number one show on TV, ABC canned Roseanne Barr without even hearing her out.
So, in light of The View’s Whoopi Goldberg kicking Judge Jeanine Pirro off that disaster of a show on ABC, Barr was done being silent. She is through trying to play by the politically correct rules hoping some other leftist network will give her a chance. She decided to spill the beans on ABC after she saw what happened to Jeanine Pirro, and how ABC’s double standards are blaring.
Most people are aware the Trump-hating Goldberg through Judge Jeanine off the show, then later backstage she chased her down. According to sources, Pirro told Goldberg, “I’ve done more for abused women than you will ever do.” The fight ended with Goldberg yelling and spitting at Pirro, “F*ck you, get the f*ck out!” according to Page Six.
Well, that caused Roseanne Barr to take action. “This was my statement from the very beginning, and it will continue to be forever because it is the truth: When ABC called and asked me to explain my ‘egregious and unforgivable tweet,’ I told them, ‘I thought Valerie Jarrett was white.’ And I also said, ‘I am willing to go on ‘The View,’ ‘Jimmy Kimmel‘ or whatever other show you want me to go on and explain that to my audience,’” Barr said in a video posted to her YouTube channel.
“Now instead what happened, about 40 minutes after that, my show was canceled before even one advertiser pulled out, and I was labeled a racist,” she fumed. “Why, you ask? Well, the answer is simple: Because I voted for Donald Trump, and that is not allowed in Hollywood.”
Barr explained that she released her official statement on her channel in order to speak “to [her] fellow and sister Americans without the filter of the biased media.”
Now, that brings us to Whoopi Goldberg and how ABC gave her a nasty surprise. In light of Roseanne Barr’s statement that was aired just hours after Goldberg was seen cursing and throwing Judge Jeanine out of the studio, ABC chose to make Whoopi Goldberg go on air and lie to Americans.
Either she lies her way out of the mess, or she’d have to be fired. Since Whoopi’s part of the Hollywood crowd’s political club, she gets to keep her job but sell her soul. The price: demonizing Judge Jeanine as a liar, while making herself out to be the victim of the big bad Trump supporter.
Goldberg said on Friday’s show, “I want to clear up what happened afterwards, because she [Judge Jeanine Pirro] talked about it on Fox News last night, and Fox and Friends this morning, or The Five, or whatever it is. But she seemed to leave out some key points, because, well, she left a lot of pertinent stuff out. And there were a lot of people backstage, and I want to be very clear about what happened. So there’s a lot of spinning she’s doing, and I can’t do anything about that, but I can tell you what went on.”
Whoopi went on, “When I came offstage, I went over there because I was a little hot, okay? So I went to calm down. She came off, she could have just passed me, she didn’t need to stop, but she stopped, and put a finger in my face, and said, ‘I’ve done more for victims than you ever will.’ Then I said to her some few choice words I cannot repeat. Yes, I did say it, I did say it, but I did not spit on her, I did not intimidate her, no one chased her out of here saying get out, but she did leave here cursing at the people who booked the show, she cursed at the guys who do the security for the show.”
This doesn’t ring true. Whoopi was so hot on air she threw her off the show. She was actively intimidating Judge Jeanine on air. Of course, the Judge didn’t just sit there but fought back, but this was definitely a set-up minus Meghan McCain, who whispered to Judge Jeanine after the on-air segment, “I’m sorry.”
So, are we to believe that all of a sudden, when the cameras are off, Whoopi Goldberg turns into this calm, peaceful, women of civility and Judge Jeanine’s acting like a crazy person? This is Whoopi’s “home court” filled with her people, yet she instantly switches her “off button” while Judge Pirro freaks out?
Whoopi had the audacity to lie on air not just about Judge Jeanine, but also about The View in general. “You can come to this show, we treat everybody with respect. But you cannot come and call people names. You cannot point at people and you can’t do this to people. And people who know Jeanine know exactly what I’m talking about. They know she likes to stir it up. I rarely get stirred up, but I got stirred up yesterday,” said Goldberg.
That’s pretty funny, coming from the woman who refuses to call President Trump any name. She calls him “that guy” or “the guy in the White House.” I’d say that is beyond disrespectful, even those who hated former President Barack Obama, like Sean Hannity, called him President Obama on air.
Whoopi’s statement is proven false by calling the President of the United States “that guy,” daily, on a network talk show touting themselves as treating everyone with respect. The mere office of the presidency deserves respect no matter who occupies it. Whoopi lied and demonized Judge Jeanine, and she disrespects President Trump and all Americans every day. Whoopi Goldberg sold her soul to ABC, just to keep her crappy job as co-host of that horrendous show, The View.
