White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders accompanied President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump on their Christmas trip to Iraq this week, where she shared a video that left the liberal members of the mainstream media crying. The footage shows U.S. troops roaring for the president as he took the stage to address them during the historic visit. You won’t want to miss this.

On Christmas evening, while most Americans were relaxing with their families after a day filled with new gifts, good food, and giving thanks for the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were in the midst of a very selfless journey to visit U.S. troops stationed in Iraq.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced the news on Twitter, writing, “President Trump and the First Lady traveled to Iraq late on Christmas night to visit with our troops and Senior Military leadership to thank them for their service, their success, and their sacrifice and to wish them a Merry Christmas.”

This was a welcome visit for the thousands of hard-working men and women deployed overseas who were forced to spend Christmas without the comforts of home and without their families. Approximately 5,000 U.S. troops are currently stationed in Iraq, where the mission continues to be promoting stability by supporting the Iraqi government in its fight against lingering ISIS forces in the region.

The visit marked Trump’s first trip to a war zone while serving as Commander-in-Chief, but it was even more significant for another reason. For the very first time in history, a sitting president and first lady made the trip to visit troops in the Iraq war zone together.

The historic nature of their visit was not lost on our troops, and their enthusiasm was captured in a video by Sanders, who posted it on Twitter, much to the dismay of the liberal media.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders shared a video of American troops cheering and chanting for President Trump during a surprise visit to U.S. soldier in Iraq during Christmas.

In the video, a large hangar full of U.S. troops can be seen cheering wildly as the president took the stage and breaking into a chant of “USA! USA! USA!” The president was joined by Melania onstage. The president went on to address the troops and thank them for their sacrifice and service. The late Christmas evening trip was a surprise to most everyone. Many in the media had criticized Trump for not making a trip to see the troops over the holidays. [Source: The Daily Caller]

Of course, this flies in the face of the media-manufactured narrative that President Trump has little to no support. On the contrary, he is beloved by Americans at home and abroad, particularly those who serve in our formidable military.

That much was proven by a powerful moment between the president and a soldier stationed in Iraq who Trump spoke with during his visit. Sanders shared the details of the unforgettable moment between the president and the soldier on Twitter.

“Powerful moment – Member of United States Army told the President he came back into the military because of him. And President Trump responded, ‘And I am here because of you.’ I met him after and he gave me the patch from his arm. Incredible,” she recounted.

Ever since Trump hit the campaign trail, we have witnessed the way he connects with active members of the military and veterans who have served our country in years past. It has truly been a sight to behold, as it is hard to recall another politician ever having the same relationship with our troops.

But don’t hold your breath waiting for the mainstream media to give Trump credit. No, they were too busy criticizing him for not visiting our troops over the holidays, even as he was en route to see them. Sadly, that is what passes for legitimate journalism these days.
