People are freaking out after a former Secret Service agent dropped a brutal truth bomb on the high school shooting in Parkland, Florida. You don’t want to miss this because this guy isn’t playing around.
Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino recently appeared on Fox News where he dropped a brutal truth bomb on the entire Parkland, Florida, shooting aftermath. Bongino is telling America that it’s time for the do-nothing Sheriff of Broward County Scott Israel to hit the road. But, just wait until you see why he’s saying it.
“The Sheriff has to go. He has to resign. I don’t see any way he can credibly function in that role anymore. Now listen, I’ve done a lot of commentary on this show on police-related matters,” Bongino said. “I spent seventeen years in law enforcement at the federal level, at the local level with the NYPD. I have been, watch my Twitter feed or anything else, I’ve been very careful in my criticism of the sheriff because I didn’t have all the facts out,” he continued.
“But, now that we see the facts surfacing here, this is deeply disturbing. And, let me just tell you what I’m talking about, this is important. On school violence, school shooting incidents, there are different training methods. Some teach an individual officer to go in, some teach them to wait for a team to show up, but they’re all taught to go in. I want to be crystal clear on that,” he added.
“That’s why I waited, because I thought, ‘Was the officer just resorting to his training and waiting for someone?’ but now that it appears other deputies showed up and still didn’t enter appropriately in time, in addition to the multiple missed signals there is no way this individual should continue in that job. He needs to go and he needs to go now,” Bongino explained.
I could not agree more. There is no way possible Sheriff Israel can be looked at as a competent law enforcement official at this point. In essence, he and his deputies are directly responsible for failing to take any kind of action against 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz to save the lives of students or school staff at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Scott Israel is lucky we aren’t back in the old days, where men were held accountable for their work and the work of those beneath them.
In my opinion, the parents and loved ones of those who lost their lives in the horrific mass school shooting deserve the resignation of Sheriff Israel and every deputy who responded to the school and failed to enter. They had the opportunity to save lives, but they blatantly decided to stay put because it was safer for them. If they weren’t going to employ the badge and gun they were given, they should have never taken the jobs in the first place.
The same goes for the blame-shifting sheriff. He is responsible for running such a complete failure of an organization. He has directly said that he isn’t “responsible” for the actions of his deputies. In particular, he was speaking about the deputy who was already at the school during the time of the shooting, who took up a defensive position instead of going in and looking for the shooter.

Now, the state of Florida is taking measures to arm a select number of teachers with firearms. I applaud this action because it will give students and teachers a fighting chance in the event of an active shooter situation. However, I would far prefer it if states could take the necessary measures to make the schools safe by implementing whatever level of security it takes.
It’s wonderful that some Florida teachers will be able to provide a defense to attacks, but I think they should be able to focus on teaching in a safe learning environment where competent law enforcement personnel are doing that job.
