Extremely troubling headlines are coming out of Rep. Ilhan Omar’s district in Minnesota. A group of 8-10 Somali teens with hammers attacked travelers at a rail station in Minneapolis. Several serious injuries are being reported, but that’s not all. The Minnesota Congresswomen’s constituents are complaining she’s being oddly silent for one big reason. Don’t miss this.

Alpha News in Minnesota is reporting a group of 8-10 Somali teens attacked travelers at the East Bank Light Rail Station in Minneapolis on Friday night. There were several injuries reported. The Minneapolis Police Department dispatch audio has been made public.
“The incident was apparently reported to 911 just before 10 p.m. on Friday according to the audio and other social media police scanner reports,” reports Alpha News. “Minneapolis police (MPD) and Metro Transit police were requesting assistance for ‘a group of 8-10 males chasing people with hammers’ and that some people were injured.”
A post in the Minneapolis Scanner Facebook group said that the three police departments were responding to “multiple [911] calls” about “10-12 Somali teen males armed with hammers chasing people,” also with “several injuries reported.” The Facebook group regularly posts summaries of police scanner audio.
A person who claimed on social media to have been at the station when the incident occurred said that the group of males had “hammers and bars” and that they seemed to be “attacking anyone who looked like they had money or were white.” The witness, who said he isn’t white, said that he didn’t want to “[take] on a bunch of dudes with blunt objects” and that he “hurried an older white lady away” and walked a few blocks to catch a bus.
And this is happening in Rep. Ilhan Omar’s district, which covers the entire city of Minneapolis. And so what is the Congresswoman doing about it? How does she respond? She was oddly quiet. Instead, she was tweeting up a storm making it clear she wants to abolish ICE and have open borders.
Proud that my state, Rep. @Ilhan Omar is leading the way on rejecting Trump’s immigration plans.
Today at #AmericaWelcomes she called on:
– No increase funding for detention facilities
– Not using DHS as a slush fund
– Abolishing ICE
– Ending inhuman deportation programs pic.twitter.com/y52fMaPJfI— José Alonso Muñoz (@munozjose) May 16, 2019
Well, one of her constituents who writes for the American Thinker weighed in.
“My hometown of Minneapolis has been totally transformed by the arrival of tens of thousands of refugees from Somalia, one of whom now represents the city and a few suburbs in Congress,” wrote Thomas Lifson. “Nobody there was asked if such a makeover was desired by the residents; State Department officials decided that the generous welfare benefits available in Minnesota were reason enough to send people whose native land is tropical to the coldest major city in the United States.”
And Mr. Lifson was just getting warmed up. He was outraged Omar couldn’t care less about the Somali teens wielding hammers.
“But now that the old 97%-plus Caucasian city has been made into a multicultural exemplar, the local establishment, including the newspapers and broadcasters, is ultra-protective of its prized diversity-endowing Somali community,” says Lifson, who added:
That might explain why the news of a horrific attack on people waiting for a light rail train at the University of Minnesota has been so slow to emerge. A mob of “youths” — it now turns out they are juveniles, so their identities are being protected — believed to be of Somali extraction attacked innocent people waiting for a light rail train at the East Bank University of Minnesota station. They were wielding either hammers or pipes.
And it’s not only Rep. Omar who is strangely silent on this event. Perhaps the most remarkable thing about this incident is how little media attention it received. The second most remarkable thing is that none of the article titles about this story indicate that these teenagers were Somali.
Glenn Reynolds from Instapundit wrote, “So far as I can determine, Rep. Ilhan Omar, the Somali refugee who represents Minneapolis in Congress and who also seems entirely ungrateful to the nation that paid for her to leave her hellhole homeland and granted her citizenship, has so far not commented on the incident.”
Rep. Ilhan Omar is advocating for the very policies that justify migrants coming into the United States and taking over entire cities with no intention of assimilating to our American culture. Wanting sound immigration policies isn’t racist, it is protecting our American way of life for citizens of all ethnic backgrounds. That’s why we must hope Omar is voted out in 2020, and we must ensure President Donald Trump is re-elected.
