Bill Cosby showed up for the start of his re-trial in his sexual assault case, and right away, it turned into utter mayhem. As the disgraced Hollywood celebrity approached the courthouse, a crazed topless woman, who was an actress on “The Cosby Show,” jumped the barricade and ran towards him. Cosby froze while cops tried to intervene as the topless actress gave Bill a nasty surprise. Don’t miss this.
A topless protester, with “Women’s Lives Matter” written on her body, jumped a barricade and got within a few feet of Bill Cosby on Monday as the comedian walked into a suburban Philadelphia courthouse for the start of his sexual assault retrial.
The New York Daily News reports, “The topless protester who lunged at Bill Cosby before being tackled by police outside his sexual assault retrial on Monday was an actress on his sitcom The Cosby Show who wanted to make the comedian squirm.”
“The main goal was to make Cosby uncomfortable because that is exactly what he has been doing for decades to women,” protester Nicolle Rochelle, who’s often credited professionally as Nicole Leach, said on Monday during a call with a small group of reporters shortly after prosecutors charged her with disorderly conduct.
“It was definitely a peaceful type of protest. I just wanted him to feel my presence and to feel uncomfortable. I didn’t want him to just walk like, ‘La-di-da, it’s a normal day. I have my regular dignity, and I did nothing,’” the 39-year-old American actress said. “I wanted him to feel something.”
The NY Daily News adds, “Rochelle appeared in several episodes of ‘The Cosby Show’ in the early 90s. An IMDB photo depicts her on set alongside actress Keshia Knight Pulliam, also 39, who played Cosby’s daughter Rudy Huxtable.”
The outlet continues, “She was naked from the waist up and had writing on her body that named many of the comedian’s accusers and said ‘Cosby,’ ‘rapist’ and ‘Women’s Lives Matter.'”
Prosecutors have lined up a parade of accusers to make the case that the man revered as “America’s Dad” lived a double life as one of Hollywood’s biggest predators. Bill Cosby is fighting back with a new, high-profile lawyer and an aggressive strategy, attacking Andrea Constand as a greedy liar and casting the other women testifying as bandwagon accusers looking for a share of the spotlight.
Nicolle Rochelle was incensed that Cosby was still a free man, and in her crazed topless protest, she came awfully close to her former boss. In fact, when you watch the video, you can see him and his handlers step back and freeze as Rochelle is running toward them. The cops then wrestled her into the nearby bushes as she resisted arrest.
Cosby’s PR guy, Andrew Wyatt, later criticized Rochelle’s tactics, claiming they did a disservice to women. Rochelle disagreed, telling the Daily News and the other reporters that she decided to use her body as a canvas to show it could be “aggressive and empowered.”
“I can use my body as a political statement and not just a sexual object, like he did to other women,” she said. “I wanted to show him that I was not disempowered.”
Of course, this incident was going viral on social media. “Topless protestor jumped out in front of Bill Cosby & he forgot he was blind,” tweeted @AngryManTV.

Cosby’s retrial is taking place in a radically changed and potentially more hostile environment. The #MeToo movement caught fire four months after his first trial, raising awareness of sexual misconduct as it toppled Harvey Weinstein, Senator Al Franken, Matt Lauer, and other powerful men.
Reports say all the jurors in this re-trial are aware of the #MeToo movement, which is going to be a huge problem for Bill Cosby. Nicolle Rochelle made sure everyone knows even those who formerly worked with “America’s Dad” think he is a big scumbag. At 80, the former beloved Jello pudding spokesman is finding out karma has a way of catching up with everyone, no matter how rich and popular they once were.
