Former Mexican President Vicente Fox used expletives in February when he told Donald Trump that he would not pay for a border wall. Only hours after Trump became the presumptive GOP nominee for President, Fox started backtracking and tweeting about the protesters waving the Mexican flag, which is pissing off many Americans. Now, Trump has issued an epic response.
Vincente Fox, the controversial former president of Mexico, told Trump that Mexico is “not paying for that f***ing wall,” as he tried to play the strongman in February. Knowing now that Trump is one step closer to being the President of the United States, Fox apologized to Trump on Breitbart News yesterday during an interview in California.
Fox told Breibart News, “Yes, I am humbled enough, as leaders should be, compassionate leaders, if I offended you, I’m sorry, but what about the other way around?”
Trump gave Fox his answer on Bill O’Reilly’s show last night, saying, “Yeah, get your money ready ’cause you’re going to pay for the wall.”
Fox also weighed in on his Twitter account on May 2nd about the thugs waving Mexican flags, many engaging in near riots after the Trump rally in Costa Mesa, California. The following tweet outraged Americans, who tweeted back some choice sentiments.
Waving a Mexican flag doesn’t make you a criminal, it demonstrates that diversity it’s the real strenght of America. pic.twitter.com/doTZrNqZPY

@VicenteFoxQue So I can go to Mexico, wave an American flag, demand housing, food, medical care, monthly allowance? And you're ok with that?

With Fox now making a trip to soothe the tensions with Trump, there is more behind it than just an apology. Fox is here to protect Mexico. If Trump wins the White House, they are realizing that Mexico cannot walk all over the United States anymore. Fox stated:
“I invite him to come to Mexico and to see what Mexico is all about.” Fox stressed the important trade ties the two countries have, noting that the U.S. benefits from Mexican labor and has much larger trade deficits with other countries. He urged Trump to be more responsible, and suggested that he could help: “I can convince him to think intelligently” about trade and other issues, he explained. [via Breitbart News]
Obviously, Fox is trying his best to appeal to Trump about his stances on trade with Mexico and on the Southern border wall. Trump is scaring the Mexican government, and Fox’s sole purpose is to reach out to Trump, hoping to influence him to back off of his plans toward Mexico. Trump isn’t buying what Fox is selling, and his message back is clear: Mexico, get your money ready, you will pay for that wall.
