Trump Delivers Huge Gift For Working Families

Over the last two years, we’ve seen President Donald Trump deliver on one promise after another. Even with “resistance” from Democrats and constant lies from the liberal media, the president is winning for Americans of all stripes. Now, Trump scored another big win for working families.

Since entering office, Trump has been met with resistance. His agenda to make America great again has been bafflingly opposed by numerous forces in our government. We can see why Democrats don’t want to support him. Even if his policies help the very people they claim to support, they can’t openly be seen working with a man they’ve called a racist, bully, and sexist.

But Democrats aside, numerous Republicans — especially in the House — refused to cooperate with Trump. Despite that, he’s done the impossible: reversed the declining economy we’ve experienced under Barack Obama.

Trump’s policies have helped spur on the U.S. economy like never before. Since January 2017, we’ve hit one milestone after another.

Did you know America is now the largest producer of oil in the world? We no longer need to import oil from foreign nations. I bet you didn’t see that on CNN.

We have booming employment, rising wages, and consumer optimism. Now the Department of Labor has posted another broken record, this time in the form of job openings.

Job openings surged at U.S. factories in October.

The job opening rate for durable goods manufacturing hit 4 percent, the highest ever recorded in data going back to 2000, according to a report issued Monday by the Department of Labor. That’s an increase from 3.7 percent a month earlier.

The figures suggest that tariffs are not hurting U.S. manufacturers.

Durable goods manufacturing was one area that was thought to be particularly exposed both to U.S. tariffs on steel and aluminum and retaliatory tariffs from China and others. But the Labor Department said there were 332,000 job openings in the sector in October. In addition, there were 227,000 durable goods hires. [Source: Breitbart]

Most politicians promise to help the American working class. But it’s been a very long time since we’ve seen a president actually do something about it.

Trump’s tariffs on Chinese steel and aluminum were met with fierce criticism. And when I say fierce, I mean critics were saying he’d cripple our economy.

They were expecting a trade war, with American companies tanking. What’s happened instead? American companies are now competitive for the first time in decades.

Trump’s moves have always been about putting American workers first. For a very long time, big, global businesses have only looked for the cheapest solutions. They’ve outsourced jobs to factories (and offices) overseas. They purchased inferior materials from countries like China. On top of that, they imported foreign workers (legally or otherwise) to take domestic jobs from Americans.

The end result was a dismal jobs market for many Americans. Young adults just entering the workforce had little hope of finding steady work.

What made the situation even worse was that our politicians and presidents did nothing to correct this trend. In fact, they often passed legislation that made it easier for companies to continue to steal away our opportunity.

Now, after so many years of failure, President Donald Trump has been reversing this trend. U.S. factories are open for business and are hiring at a record pace. Now is the best time to find a job and keep it.

These are signs of continued expansion for U.S. factories and heavy demand for products made in the U.S.

The metals tariffs were predicted to cost jobs because there are more than ten times as many workers in metals-using industries than in steel and aluminum manufacturing…

The layoff rate for durable goods manufacturing was just 1.0 percent, slightly above the previous month but below the unadjusted 1.3 percent rate for the broader economy. In other words, layoffs are less common in manufacturing than they are in other jobs. [Source: Breitbart]

Perhaps Trump should take this same tactic and apply it to every other industry. It’d be nice to see this kind of job security across all jobs, wouldn’t it?
