President Donald Trump has given Friday’s March for Life a huge leg up with one last-minute call to action after hearing the march was headed to Washington, D.C. As conservatives cheer, liberals are undoubtedly likely to be absolutely furious.
Proving the fight for life is close to his heart, Trump made sure that everyone knew of the massive demonstration which would be coming to the streets of Washington, D.C., on January 27. He simultaneously trashed the media for their shamelessly biased reporting and blatant double-standard when it comes to matters which are traditionally conservative in nature, versus those causes championed by the liberal crowd.
During his press conference yesterday in Philadelphia, Trump implored the media to accurately cover the March for Life. One week earlier, the press allowed the Women’s March on Washington to completely dominate the news cycle, and many feared the powers that be within the mainstream media would not give the same amount of attention – or any attention at all – to the pro-life march taking place this week.
“By the way, on Friday, a lot of people are going to be showing up to Washington, right, Mike? A lot of people,” the president said, referencing Vice President Mike Pence, who was set to speak at the march, along with Kellyanne Conway.
“You know, the press never gives them the credit that they deserve. They’ll have 300, 400, 500, 600,000 people. You won’t even read about it,” Trump continued. “When other people show up, you read big time about it. Right? So, it’s not fair, but, nothing’s fair about the media. Nothing.”

This news comes just days into Trump’s presidency, as he appears to be setting the tone for the rest of his time in office. On Monday, he reinstated the Mexico City policy, issuing an executive order barring foreign aid or federal funding for international nongovernmental organizations that promote or provide abortions. It was strong move ahead of Friday’s pro-life march and a message which the feminist community heard loud and clear just days after their own demonstration in Washington.
It surprised many lifelong conservatives when Donald Trump came out as a strong pro-life advocate on the campaign trail during the election season of 2016, but those who feared he was only doing this to get elected can now officially rest assured that Mr. Trump will fearlessly fight for the lives of unborn children.
