Trump Swoops In, Delivers Death Blow To Nancy’s Dream Of Holding Barr In Contempt

Nancy Pelosi and her Democratic cohorts thought they had the upper hand and had pinned President Donald Trump in a corner. The Speaker claimed the Democrats will hold Attorney General Bill Barr in contempt over this crazy allegation about the Mueller report that they believe will lead to the president’s impeachment. Well, that’s when Trump swooped in and delivered the death blow to all of Pelosi’s plans. You’ll love this.

Throughout the two-years that Robert Mueller was investigating President Trump, the White House and every single staffer Mueller called to testify did without any delay or raising an issue. Trump complied with everything the Special Counsel wanted to ensure no one could say he had obstructed them. And now that the Mueller report comes out and AG Barr graciously allowed the world to see over 94% of it, it’s not enough for the Democrats.

It’s the law that AG Barr can’t allow everyone to see the grand jury testimony. All grand juries are secret events. However, Barr did make the entire Mueller report available totally 100% unredacted to the chairman of the Judiciary Committee Jerry Nadler. But that wasn’t good enough.

Nadler wants Barr to break the law and turn over the unredacted copy to the entire Judiciary Committee. We should mention here Nadler hasn’t taken the time to go read it, so what is this all about? This is political game-playing, and that’s why Nancy Pelosi decided they would hold Barr in contempt.

Pelosi is trying to show she is more powerful than the president. “House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday declared that Congress is a ‘superior branch’ of government, as the clash between congressional Democrats and the Trump administration over closely held documents intensifies,” reported Fox News.

During an interview with Robert Costa for Washington Post Live, Pelosi was asked whether Congress is functioning as a coequal branch of government.

I think we’re a superior branch, quite frankly,” Pelosi said. “We have the power to make the law and the president enforces the law. So we have a big role. We’re closest to the people and we have a big role to play.”

While Pelosi was making her remarks, her cohorts on the Judiciary Committee were attempting to hold AG Barr in contempt.

“House Judiciary Committee Democrats have moved to subpoena the unredacted Mueller report and its underlying evidence. Due to Barr’s opposition to submitting the Mueller report, the Democrats moved to hold Barr in contempt of Congress,” Breitbart reported.

Well, Rep. Jim Jodan, who sits on the Judiciary Committee, wasn’t standing for this charade. “Bill Barr’s following the law and what’s he going to get? Democrats are going to hold him in contempt,” Jordan said. The House Freedom Caucus member said that he believes the efforts are “all about trying to destroy Bill Barr.”

“Democrats are nervous he’s going to get to the bottom of everything,” Jordan said. “He’s going to find out how and why this investigation got started in the first place.” And just as Chairman Nadler had the votes to hold Barr in contempt, President Trump swooped in and delivered them a death blow.

President Trump exerted “executive privilege” over the full Mueller report and the evidence underlying it in order to protect sensitive grand-jury information and evidence related to other ongoing criminal probes. In essence, he shut those Democrats down in their tracks.

So much for Nancy Pelosi’s dream of being the big bad power player.

“Neither the White House nor Attorney General Barr will comply with Chairman Nadler’s unlawful and reckless demands,” Press Secretary Sarah Sanders wrote after Barr issued a statement recommending that Trump claim executive privilege.

The White House said that Democrats and Nadler were trying to “redo” the Mueller investigation to distract the country from the booming economy.

Faced with Chairman Nadler’s blatant abuse of power, and at the Attorney General’s request, the President has no other option than to make a protective assertion of executive privilege,” the statement read.

The White House urged Democrats to move beyond the investigation and focus on more pertinent issues to the American people like the border crisis, prescription drug prices, and infrastructure.

“It is sad that Chairman Nadler is only interested in pandering to the press and pleasing his radical left constituency,” Sanders wrote.

President Trump did everything he could to make sure Robert Mueller could do his investigation. Trump didn’t block any of his staffers or attorneys from testifying, and in the end, the Special Counsel had no case against Trump.

The Democrats led by Nancy Pelosi tried like hell to keep this collusion-delusion and obstruction of justice dream alive, and thankfully President Trump stepped in and gave their political game-playing a real death blow. Patriots across the country have no problem with that.
