It’s called “A Salute to America,” and the public is invited to the nation’s capital where they will see a 35-minute firework show, the “Blue Angels” flyover, and yes, there are tanks. Bette Midler and other famous leftists are freaking out. You’ll love this.
The White House is gearing up for a major patriotic rally, dubbed the “Salute to America,” to celebrate the Fourth of July with a demonstration of military might and a speech from President Donald Trump.
Trump first got the idea for a military parade celebrating America after viewing the Bastille Day parade in France in 2017, telling reporters, “It was one of the greatest parades I’ve ever seen.”
“The White House started prepping for a similar parade in early 2018, according to reports, but the president put the brakes on the idea when he discovered it could cost upwards of $100 million,” reported the Daily Caller.
Now, its back on track and President Trump is very excited: “Big 4th of July in D.C. ‘Salute to America.’ The Pentagon & our great Military Leaders are thrilled to be doing this & showing to the American people, among other things, the strongest and most advanced Military anywhere in the World. Incredible Flyovers & biggest ever Fireworks!” tweeted the president.

However, it’s the tanks that are causing many famous leftists to freak out.
Two M1A1 Abrams tanks were spotted in Washington, DC, on Tuesday ahead of President Donald Trump’s planned “Salute to America” event, Breitbart is reporting.
“An unheard of 115 degrees in France, one of our allies, and Mr Trump is only interested in putting tanks on the Mall for his salute to himself July 4th. I am so ashamed,” tweeted Bette Midler.

“It’s hot in France … so Donald Trump shouldn’t have tanks at the Fourth of July parade on the Mall? You don’t have to be a fan of military parades or think that the tanks are necessary here, but come on,” Twitchy reported.
Trump-hater and former presidential candidate Evan McMullin tweeted, “We shouldn’t allow heavy weaponry to become symbols of our patriotism. They’re necessary tools of war, but what has and will ever make America great is our commitment to human liberty, equality and flourishing, which are best reflected by symbols of peace.”

What a party-pooper. These haters just can’t let people have a good time. Fighter jets are tools of war. No one is complaining about the Blue Angels.

This guy is still upset Trump won, and people started seeing Kristol as a big crybaby and buffoon.
“You’ve got to be pretty careful with the tanks because the roads have a tendency not to like to carry heavy tanks, so we have to put them in certain areas,” Trump said.
The event will be held on Independence Day on the National Mall. Beginning at 6:30 p.m. EST, Trump will speak followed by military aircraft flyovers and demonstrations.
“We’re going to have a great Fourth of July in Washington, D.C. It’ll be like no other. It’ll be special,” Trump said. “And I hope a lot of people come, and it’s going to be about this country and it’s a salute to America.”
We expect as the day wears on, other celebrities and famous leftists will join in crying about the tanks. One Democrat complained that Trump wanted the tanks in D.C. because he was “going to stage a coup.” We can’t make this stuff up.
For those who are fortunate enough to be there in person, we are sure it will be one-Fourth of July celebration you will never forget. Luckily, it will be televised on most major TV networks. It will be so nice to really see a patriotic celebration of America. It’s long overdue.
