After a hectic past few months, President-elect Donald Trump is finally taking a few days of much-needed rest with his family for the Thanksgiving holiday. In fact, he returned to his home in West Palm Beach, Florida to celebrate. However, as his motorcade made its way towards its destination, Trump was floored when he saw what was waiting on the side of the road – his supporters lining the streets to welcome him back.

The Trump supporters were with a group known as Citizens for Trump. The organizer of the event led chants until his motorcade came over the bridge to their location in front of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago. Their chants consisted of simple phrases, like “Donald Trump!” and “USA,” according to American Mirror, and they held both signs and flags that proudly displayed Trump’s name across them.

There’s no doubt that the welcoming party he received lifted his spirits. Not only is it a reminder that he is going to be the next president of the United States, but that there are many people who still support him in light of all the anti-Trump protests that seem to be the focus of the mainstream media’s attention.

Hopefully, after a few days off with his spirit also getting uplifted by his supporters in Florida, he will return ready to continue his fight. Although he may have won the election, he’s about to learn what it takes to be the leader of America, and considering he’s stepping into office after Barack Obama, he’s got quite a bit of work to do.
