This weekend marked the most momentous occasion in Trump family history for more reasons than one. After all the weekend excitement, President Donald Trump has announced a yuge reason to celebrate, and congratulations are in order.
On Friday, Donald Trump was officially sworn in as President of the United States, and the ceremony was followed by a massive inaugural parade. That evening, the First Family attended the traditional balls, where Melania and Ivanka turned heads in their designer gowns.
On Saturday, the President and First Lady enjoyed a beautiful National Prayer Service at the National Cathedral, where Melania made headlines for leading a standing ovation for a severely handicapped singer who performed “How Great Thou Art.” Then, on Sunday, the festivities were made complete with the announcement that the Trumps were also celebrating their twelfth wedding anniversary that day.
Donald and Melania Trump met in September of 1998 at a Fashion Week party after the Slovenian-born model had moved to New York City in 1996. The couple was engaged in April of 2004, and on January 22, 2005, they married at Bethesda-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Palm Beach, Florida.
That day, Melania carried an antique rosary as she walked down the aisle to “Ave Maria.” The lavish reception took place at Trump’s Mar-A-Lago resort, where the bride turned heads in her strapless, $230,000 John Galliano wedding gown.
Back in 2005, Trump gushed about how well he and Melania get along. “We literally have never had an argument, forget about the word ‘fight,'” he said. “We just are very compatible.”
That undoubtedly served the couple well as they went on to raise a son and navigate the rigors of a presidential campaign trail together. Now, the pair will take the next step in their family’s legacy, as they serve as the First Family of the United States together.
Trump has always been very generous to his third wife, gifting her with a stunning 25-carat diamond ring for their tenth wedding anniversary. This year, he somehow managed to top that by making her the First Lady of the United States. They are truly a force to be reckoned with!
SHARE this report to wish Donald and Melania Trump a very happy wedding anniversary and many more blissful years to come!
