A former special forces soldier and UFC fighter was a bit surprised after recently being threatened by the Islamic State (ISIS/Daesh). After the authorities visited him regarding the “credible” risk, the FBI isn’t too “thrilled” with his badass response.
For those unaware, UFC fighter Tim Kennedy used to be a special forces soldier — a Green Beret. Known for both his fighting skills and his service, he has over 100,000 fans on Facebook alone.
Unfortunately, it seems that the same forum used to inform his fans of his happenings was used by ISIS to deliver quite the threat. Although these comments are nothing new to the man, as they’re actually put out by bored Internet trolls with nothing else to do with their day, the FBI viewed the most recent ones to be a bit more serious.
“Apparently a couple of them were legitimate in trying to, from what the FBI said, plan stuff,” Tim told Army Times.
“They said, ‘Are you aware of this stuff?’ I said, ‘Yes.’ They said, ‘We think this is somewhat credible,’” he went on to say. “Then I said, ‘I’m kind of desensitized to this stuff, so maybe you should tell me what my level of alarm should be.’”
However, it seems that his ultimate response wasn’t too well received by the federal agency. “Just spoke with the FBI regarding some recent credible threats towards me by [the Islamic State]. They were not overly thrilled with my response… ‘Let those cowards come,’” he later wrote on Facebook.
In another post, he followed up on the remarks, saying that ISIS can “send whoever they want, as long as they don’t want them back.” As one would imagine, Tim’s response proves that he lives by his mantra:
“Every time you train, train with the motivation and purpose that you will be the hardest person someone ever tries to kill.”
I don’t think that anyone on this earth could possibly argue that Tim isn’t a genuine badass. Likewise, it’d be just as dumb to think this is a man worth risking your life to kill. Surely, they won’t have an easy time and will more than likely result in an adverse effect. In other words, try to kill Tim, and you’ll more than likely be killed before you can pull it off.
