A carjacker in Washington state recently went on a shooting rampage and shot a 16-year-old girl and a man before fed-up bystanders unleashed pure hell on the thug. Now, the story has gone viral after the violent criminal crossed paths with American patriots who weren’t afraid to make him pay.
According to CBS News, the shocking incident took place on Sunday, June 17, 2018, at approximately 5:30 p.m. in the parking lot of a Walmart store in Tumwater, Washington. Tumwater police said that an initial call was received by a 911 dispatcher reporting that a car was driving the wrong direction on the road. While in route, responding officers were redirected to a nearby location after another call came in for a carjacking with shots fired.
When the police arrived, they found a 16-year-old girl had been wounded by the gunman but did not suffer life-threatening injuries. The gunman, who had taken her vehicle, drove it to a nearby Walmart before entering the store and opening fire on a display case. Police said that no one inside the store was hit by the gunfire but witnesses said hundreds of customers ran for the doors in a panicked stampede.
When the carjacker exited the store, he reportedly walked up to a vehicle and shot the man who was in the driver’s seat in the shoulder and in the neck before telling the man’s wife to get out of the car, according to the victim’s son, who identified himself as Tyler Fievez during an interview with local news source KIRO.
Fievez said that his father had gone unconscious with his foot still on the accelerator causing the vehicle to spin in circles as it crashed into other cars. Fievez said that his father was later taken to Harborview Medical Center and was listed in critical condition.
After failing to carjack Mr. Fievez’s vehicle, the gunman carjacked another vehicle, but before he could escape, three armed and fed-up bystanders stepped up to take him down. Megan Chadwick told KIRO that her husband was one of the armed citizens who joined in to stop the gunman. “There were three civilians going after him to shoot him and two of them had their guns up,” Chadwick said. “And then the third guy shot him through the window of the car.”
Chadwick explained that her husband watched as the shooter “took his last breath.” Investigators are still trying to find a motive for the carjacker’s shooting spree. Regardless of what they find, you can be sure that the mainstream media will always take sides against the law-abiding gun owners who decided to take the bad guy down.
The truth of the matter is that if it weren’t for those three brave individuals, more people would have been hurt. The gunman had already proven he had no qualms about shooting innocent people and his behavior seemed erratic and very unpredictable.
One witness named Brian Adams who had been shopping at the time of the incident praised the good guy with a gun and called him a hero for having taken the suspect out. Adams explained that he wound up being near where the gunman was eventually shot and killed.
“This guy could have taken out more people, wounded or killed,” said Adams. I could not agree more. The law-abiding gun owner saved lives that day, and the community owes him and the others who joined in a tremendous amount of gratitude.
According to the Seattle Times, the Thurston County Coroner’s Office identified the dead suspect on Monday as 44-year-old Tim Day, of McCleary, Grays Harbor County. Day reportedly has a criminal background including domestic violence, felony assault, and making death threats.
The bottom line here is that Day got exactly what he deserved for his psychotic and deadly behavior. If the armed bystanders hadn’t stopped him, the sad reality is that innocent victims’ families would be planning funerals this week. Good guys with guns were in the right place at the right time, and even the anti-gun crowd can’t deny their invaluable presence in this horrific story.
