CNN Political Analyst Joe Lockhart criticized Nicholas Sandmann, the Covington Catholic High School graduate who successfully sued the network for defamation, after the teen addressed the Republican National Convention Tuesday night, calling him a “snot-nosed, entitled kid from Kentucky.” Well, that’s all it took for Americans to utterly torch him. You’ll love this.
CNN is still licking its wounds from having to battle a multi-million-dollar lawsuit brought by Nicholas Sandmann and his high-powered attorneys. Last January, the leftwing cable news network settled the lawsuit with the Covington teen after Sandmann’s lawyers sought $275 million in damages.
CNN, MSNBC, and other leftist media outlets stated that Sandmann and his classmates, who were attending the annual anti-abortion March for Life and wore “Make America Great Again” caps, initiated the confrontation with a bunch of professional agitators banging on drums.
Sandmann was the main focus of the leftwing hatred. His life was threatened, and as he said at Tuesday night’s RNC convention: “They tried to cancel me and ruin my life.”
“I found myself face to face with Nathan Phillips and other professional protestors, looking to turn me into the latest poster child showing why Trump is bad, while the media portrayed me as an aggressor with a relentless smirk on my face,” Sandmann said.
“In reality, the video confirms I was standing with my hands behind my back and an awkward smile on my face that had two thoughts,” Sandmann added. “One, don’t do anything that might further agitate the man banging a drum in my face. And two, I was trying to follow a family friend’s advice, never to do anything to embarrass your family, your school, or your community.”
“Looking back now, how could I have possibly imagined that the simple act of putting on that red hat would unleash hate from the left and make myself the target of network and cable news networks nationwide,” Sandmann said.
“I look forward to the day the media returns to providing balanced, responsible, and accountable news coverage,” he added.
While the Trump-supporting teen was pouring his heart out to the American people, CNN’s Joe Lockhart decided to trash the Covington kid one more time.
“I’m watching tonight because it’s important. But I don’t have to watch this snot nose entitled kid from Kentucky,” Lockhart, who served as White House press secretary for the Clinton administration, wrote in a tweet.

What a buffoon. When will these rich elite Democrats learn Americans are fed-up with their holier than thou attitude? Maybe poor Joe Lockhart is just jealous of Nicholas Sandmann who took his network to the cleaners. We all know money is the only thing these hardcore haters care about.
Americans utterly torched Joe Lockhart on social media.
“Hey, @CNN, looks like @joelockhart wants you to add another zero to that check you wrote @N1ckSandmann,” tweeted John Johnson.

“You mean the ‘kid’ that your network viciously defamed and paid millions to settle his defamation lawsuit? You’re a pathetic joke, Joey,” tweeted David Wohl.

“Lockhart: You’re a real classy guy attacking a kid like that. …….you must have found his speech really damaging to the Left,” tweeted John Betts.

“That young man made fools of all of you! He has more compassion and resolve in one hair on his head than you and 100 others like you! Try being nice! Try being human… you guys have truly lost your way! I hope this election serves as a reminder of what America is all about!” tweeted Twitter user “Sandy.”

The legacy media’s portrayal of Sandmann and the Covington students as arrogant, white, Trump-supporting teenagers harassing a poor Native American with a drum, before videos provided critical context, also sparked lawsuits against other outlets, with Sandmann seeking up to $800 million in damages in total.
Last month, the Washington Post also settled with Sandmann for an unknown sum.
“My life changed forever in that one moment. The full war machine of the mainstream media revved up into attack mode. They did so without ever researching the full video of the incident, without ever investigating Mr. Phillips’ motives, or without ever asking me for my side of the story,” Sandmann said in his convention speech, as he stood at the site of the infamous encounter.
At the end of his RNC speech, Nick put on his MAGA hat as a final jab to all the haters like Joe Lockhart. No one is shocked by Mr. Lockhart’s venom toward the Covington kid. But what is really amazing is Lockhart thinking his crass post would somehow get him kudos from other Americans.
