Dr. Fauci’s ‘Mic Drop’ Moment, Scolds CNN Host Over Creating Coronavirus Panic

The mainstream media has been trashing President Donald Trump by making wild accusations about COVID-19. It’s coronavirus panic 24/7 on CNN, and that’s why infectious disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, had a “mic drop” moment and scolded them on live TV. You’ll love this.

Whenever there is a national disaster story, you can bet the mainstream media will be on hand to push the panic and fear far and wide. Sean Davis, a reporter with The Federalist, summed up who’s causing the coronavirus panic better than anyone.

“Far and away the best thing Americans can do right now beyond washing their hands and hunkering down is turning off cable news, which exists to keep you in a constant state of panic and anxiety. Turn off the TV, use common sense and basic hygiene, and make the most of your time,” he tweeted.

This brings us to CNN and Dr. Anthony Fauci. In case you didn’t know, Dr. Fauci is the director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and was recently tapped to be the Trump administration’s medical expert on COVID-19.

Up until Sunday, Fauci was praised by the mainstream media. Then, he had his “mic drop” moment on CNN.

“Dr. Anthony Fauci of the National Institutes of Health of the United States is an immunologist who is at the forefront of the government’s coronavirus response team. During Dr. Fauci’s interview on CNN, he just couldn’t take any more of the ridiculousness,” Twitchy reports.

The CNN host started off by showing a picture of President Trump and Dr. Fauci both touching a mic at the same time. “Take a look at this picture,” CNN’s Brianna Keilar said. “You actually touched the same podium as the president and even other CEO’s at the same time. The vice-president has been tested…I mean the president has tested negative I should say. Have you taken a test? Are you going to take a test?”

“No,” Dr. Fauci said. “I’m not taking a test for the simple reason is I have no symptoms. I’m practicing pretty good social distancing…”

“But it’s hard to do it,” Keilar said cutting him off.

“But not everybody in the United States should take a test,” Fauci said obviously annoyed. “I have no symptoms so there is no reason for me to take a test. If I’m in a situation where I am at a higher risk, then, I’ll take a test.”

“The picture you showed about the microphone—let’s get real here,” Fauci scolds. “I mean there are certain things you have to do. If I left the microphone like that (he gestures to the mic being in his face) you would see nothing but the microphone. My putting my two fingers on the microphone to get the microphone down isn’t that bad. So, I don’t think we should make something of that.”

“’Let’s get real here’ could be a comment directed at CNN every hour of every day,Twitchy adds.

This issue about “testing” needs to be put into perspective. The Democrats and their cohorts in media and in Hollywood have been parroting the same complaints: there is not enough “testing” or test kits.

As you notice from Dr. Fauci’s comment of “let’s get real here,” the same could be said about the other complaints. On Monday, Trump and his team announced that test kits would no longer be an issue to get but cautioned the public about the process and when you should be tested.

The testing process is more than most people can imagine. Only those who have symptoms should be tested. The doctor or nurse must dress in a full isolation suit, that looks similar to a Haz-Mat suit. They take a nasopharyngeal swab (a very long Q-tip-like looking instrument) and stick it all the way back in your throat where they scrape that area for cells.

Then, they must place the nasopharyngeal swab in the “medium” and tag it. Every person inside a doctor’s office, clinic, or hospital who comes into contact with the patient or their test must be dressed in isolation garb. In between testing patients, doctors and their staff must don new isolation garb. Even if you have two tests back to back, you have to change.

It is time-consuming. You can see why Dr. Fauci was sarcastically laughing on CNN about getting tested.

For some crazy reason, the Democrats have been screaming about all Americans being tested. That was a direct result of the tests initially having a problem. “The initial tests developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention had a technical problem,” New York Times reports.

However, the problem is not enough testing. The problem is testing only those with real symptoms. The other big issue is someone can be almost asymptomatic and infect others. Children who are infected have very mild symptoms and recover very easily.

Unfortunately, this panic is a result of the Democrats using it as a political weapon. They started shouting about not enough tests only after they found out the CDC had issues initially and blamed it on Trump. That led to cries from leftists that all Americans must be tested. It creates misinformation and panic.

One of the first symptoms is a fever, cough, and shortness of breath. If you don’t have any symptoms, then you don’t need to be tested. Let’s all follow Dr. Fauci’s lead. If you find anyone making ridiculous remarks or ratcheting up the panic, just tell them: “the guy handling this outbreak in America says: let’s get real, here.”
