AOC Pushes ‘COVID-19 Reparations For Black & Brown’ People, Gets Reality Check

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is making the wild accusation that the coronavirus is “racist” and that it infects many more “black and brown” people than it does white people in America. That’s why she is calling for “COVID-19 reparations.” Yes, we can’t make this stuff up. She wants your tax dollars to be spent on coronavirus reparations. Well, poor AOC got a huge reality check. You’ll love this.

We think it’s time Congress goes back to work. It’s evident those like AOC have way too much time on their hands. Wherever the former bartender is hunkered down, she has just come up with one of her most ridiculous proposals. It’s so crazy that it revivals her Green New Deal.

“COVID deaths are disproportionately spiking in Black + Brown communities,” AOC tweeted. “Why? Because the chronic toll of redlining, environmental racism, wealth gap, etc. ARE underlying health conditions. Inequality is a comorbidity. COVID relief should be drafted with a lens of reparations.”

“Inequality is a co-morbidity,” says AOC. Gee, we don’t remember reading about that in any of the medical journals on infectious diseases. COVID-virus is just another “racist” in America and has a mind of its own, according to the Representative from New York.

We wish we could say alcohol or some other substance influenced this accusation. The only problem is AOC posted it at around 11 am EST.

“My first thought was that the racial disparity must be the result of population density – because minorities, on average, tend to live in more population-dense areas such as cities,” Bongino Report writes.

“But when I looked for the exact data to investigate my thesis, I only found a complete lack of it. Ibram X. Kendi, a ‘Director of Antiracist Research’ at American University shares AOC concerns, but noted in a recent article in The Atlantic that the data just don’t exist (yet),” they add.

Well, Americans gave her a huge reality check on social media.

“The virus is currently hitting densely populated cities which have disproportionately high minority residents Vs. Rural areas. This is why infection rate may be higher. It’s the choice to live in densely populated cities. Rural areas are cheaper to live in. This isn’t racism,” tweeted Robby Starbuck. At least he was trying to talk a little common sense.

“You literally just made this up. Racial data on coronavirus deaths doesn’t exist yet,” tweeted Bongino Report.

“Wait, you mean Democrat-controlled communities aren’t receiving great care? I’m shocked. But go ahead and blame racism instead of your failing party. Good distraction…” tweeted Rogan O’Handley.

My hero Occasional Cortex @AOC has demonstrated to the world how one could engage in cognitive distancing from reality. She likes to be several light years distant from science, logic, reason, and common sense. But when it comes to peddling victimology, she is right there!” tweeted Gad Saad.

“I’m usually critical of your talking points but this one is especially absurd. it’s been spiking amongst every ethnic group & if you see a sudden spike in ‘black and brown ppl’ maybe question whether or not they’re following the guidelines to prevent the spread,” tweeted Kush Ermac.

“So your hot take here is that after the government shuts down the entire American economy, we should give money out based on race?” tweeted Ben Shapiro.

New York City is by far the hotspot for the coronavirus. They also have the biggest population which relies on a subway system for transportation. One New Yorker posted a picture of a crowded subway from this week.

New York state has a population of 20 million. California’s population is 40 million.

There are 102,863 total cases in New York State with 2,935 deaths. In contrast, in California, a state with double the population has 11,317 total cases and 250 deaths.

However, the hotspot is New York City which has over 8 million residents. The city of Los Angeles population is 4 million. Los Angles County has 10 million residents, but the big difference is that the population is spread out over 4,700 square miles.

New York City’s 8 million people are spread over only 302 square miles. Could this be one of the big factors why New York City is being slammed by the coronavirus, while the rest of the nation doesn’t even come close?

Well, you bet it is one of the factors. If this could be proven it would really help in lifting the shutdown. People could take precautions and go back to work. As we have been reporting, the economic disaster this country is facing might just pale in comparison to the COVID-19 crisis.
