Nancy Pelosi is claiming President Donald Trump cannot end the economic shutdown while she and Chuck Schumer stall the latest COVID-19 relief bill hoping to add pork. The House Speaker is also refusing to reopen Congress in April. Meanwhile, millions of Americans are suffering by losing their jobs in the last three weeks out. Well, poor Nancy was in for a rude awakening. You’ll love this.
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi told reporters last Friday that she is considering keeping the House of Representatives out of session longer than the April 20th return-from-recess date. She may not bring Congress back until well into May — and she’s warned President Donald Trump to keep the country under lockdown even longer.
Making matter worse, she is forbidding the president from making the decision to end the economic shutdown. She believes “medical experts” who have no expertise in economic affairs should be making the decision for him.
President Donald Trump appointed an economic task force to come up with the best plan to end the shutdown by April 30.
“Hopefully we’re going to be opening up …. very, very, very, very soon, I hope,” Trump said Thursday during his daily coronavirus briefing. “We’re going to open up strong, very successfully and I’d like to say even more successfully than before.”
Pelosi wants the country in economic lockdown much longer, she told Politico.
“Nobody can really tell you that and I would never venture a guess. I certainly don’t think we should do it sooner than we should,” Pelosi said. “This has taken an acceleration from when we started this. Little did we know then that at this point, we’d be further confined.”
She also suggested that Trump’s advisors rein the president in if he moves too quickly to restore economic function: “I would hope that the scientific community would weigh in and say, ‘You can’t do this, it is only going to make matters worse if you go out too soon.’”
The truth is President Trump does have the Constitutional authority to override the states on commerce if he deems doing so will best serve the United States. The federal government has virtually unlimited powers over economic matters, even if they have little to no direct impact on commerce between the states. This has been settled in several Supreme Court cases.
Pelosi and Schumer issue statement on the latest COVID-19 relief bill claiming the GOP is “stalling.”
“Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) issued a joint warning to Republican legislators to ‘stop posturing’ on coronavirus relief measures, even though Democrats have stalled a much-needed influx of cash for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) over demands for diversity programs and targeted handouts,” Daily Wire reports.
Once again, the Democrats are caught accusing the GOP of “stalling” when the truth is they are the ones who are holding out to include pork:
Democrats don’t want a “clean” PPP bill, however, and are demanding a much larger relief package, with $100 billion for hospitals and $150 billion in funding to state and city governments, with an eye to boosting government-sponsored food aid programs.
They also want guarantees that minority- and female-owned businesses can jump to the front of the line for some of the PPP loans, creating a further government hurdle for small businesses looking for help.
Actor James Woods, who is a huge Trump supporter, caught Nancy Pelosi on video talking about “politics.” This video went viral and sure gives poor Pelosi and rude awakening.
The Speaker is caught talking about “smearing her political opponents” by creating “a lie” and then leaking it to her media cohorts who will report it as fact.
“You demonize, and then we call it the ‘wrap-up smear,'” Pelosi said. “You smear somebody, with falsehoods and all the rest and then you merchandise it.”
“And then you write it,” Pelosi adds as she points to the reporters. “And I’ll say ‘see it’s reported in the press’ that ‘this, this, this, and this.’ So, they have that validation that the press reported the smear and then, it’s called a ‘wrap-up smear.'”
“It’s a tactic,” the Speaker declared with a huge smile.

What more does anyone need to see the Democrats as the villains during this pandemic?
So, brace yourself. In the coming weeks, President Trump will be between a rock and a hard place as he makes the call to restart the economy. Ultimately, he will be standing alone. On Monday, the president said he will reopen the economy regardless of certain Democrat governors who will be against the April 30 deadline.
“For the purpose of creating conflict and confusion, some in the Fake News Media are saying that it is the Governors decision to open up the states, not that of the President of the United States & the Federal Government. Let it be fully understood that this is incorrect…” Trump tweeted on Monday.

A number of Supreme Court decisions have interpreted this to mean the federal government has virtually unlimited powers over economic matters. The Democrats don’t care about the American families who are suffering, so let’s all back up our president. It’s the least we can do as he faces the swamp rats in this coming showdown.
