Behar: Trump Could Pull This Off! Get Rid Of Electoral College, She Gets Torched

Joy Behar is very upset at the likelihood of President Donald Trump’s re-election. “Trump could pull this off! They need to change the Electoral College as soon as possible,” the ABC talk show host said. Behar also shared a ridiculous leftwing conspiracy theory that the Electoral College favors a “handful of states” who she claims “determines my future.” Well, that’s when poor Joy got torched over her loony theory. You’ll love this.

Most Americans are aware that the Electoral College (EC) was instituted by the Founding Fathers in a brilliant move to ensure our presidential elections were not determined by the most populated states. The Electoral College makes sure all states have a say in the election.

You’d think the Democrats and their supporters would love the EC. Right off the bat, Democrat presidential candidates can count on 188 electoral votes from hardcore blue states. The GOP candidate can only count on 88, to begin with.

This latest leftwing conspiracy theory, saying the EC must be changed, got traction following Hillary Clinton’s stunning 2016 defeat. Clinton eked out a modest popular vote win thanks to New York and California.

Which, of course, is also the danger of doing away with the EC. America is not a direct democracy. We are a Republic. Direct democracy means mob rule wins. It means only a few states determine who wins. The Electoral College is essential to maintain the delicate balance and the best way we can ensure all Americans are “represented.”

But don’t tell that to Joy Behar. She’s freaking out now that the polls are tightening. She is adamant the Electoral College must be trashed as soon as possible or Trump will win.

“I’m really worried that Trump could pull this off!” Behar ranted. “We see the polls and we see Biden is leading … but the Russian interference is alive and kicking. Facebook is continuing to leave all the lies on the pages. The Postal Service is being interfered with.”

“The Electoral College is an issue and a problem,” she added. “In the history of the United States, there were four presidents who won without the popular vote because of the Electoral College.”

“I think it’s ridiculous that a few states, a handful of states, determine my future. It’s ridiculous, so why bother voting in the rest of the country? They need to change the Electoral College as soon as possible,” Joy claimed.

Americans immediately torched Joy Behar on social media.

“Behar: Oh no, our election process is working as intended, but I don’t like the results, so there must be something wrong with the process…we should change it immediately. Idiocy,” tweeted “AG.”

“‘Pull this off’… being legally and constitutionally winning re-election when the Left really, really, really doesn’t want him to,” tweeted “Today in Danistan.”

“‘I think it’s ridiculous that a few states, a handful of states, determine my future.’ But it’s okay if a few large metro areas on the left and right coasts determine the future of the entirety of the nation? Actually, that’s even more ridiculous,” tweeted David Hammond.

“Trump is going to ‘pull this off’ because millions will legitimately vote for him. Lefty’s can not win fair and square they have to cheat and gaslight and threaten and coerce,” tweeted “#MediaLiesPeopleDie.”

“I’m sure that’s what the founding fathers had in mind when they wrote the Constitution! Use the Electoral College if and until that results in a winner that celebrities don’t like,” tweeted Martha Antoun.

“Electoral College was intended to dampen ephemeral passions of the population. Keep it. The rules of the game have been understood by all players for two centuries,” tweeted “pwcrabb.”

Direct democracies end up in tyrannical rule. Our Founding Fathers knew this too well.

“America’s Founders carefully thought through the problems of direct democracy and explicitly rejected this model—and for good reason. They saw that because ancient democracies lacked any social or institutional forces that could check, refine, or moderate the will of the majority, they were prone to great instability, riven by factionalism, and subject to the passions and short-sightedness of the public. Direct democracies were thus vulnerable to tyranny,” The Heritage Foundation reports.

“American republicanism, by contrast, offers protections from the instability, rashness, impetuosity, and social and political tyranny of democratic politics because it recognizes that the majority does not equal the whole of the community,” they added.

American republicanism also values the individual over the majority or mob. Communism and socialism value the majority over the individual and his rights.

The Founding Fathers studied all forms of government and knew a direct democracy would not end well. However, the Democrats are now hellbent on eradicating our Republic in favor of a socialist regime.

If there ever was an election where our entire system of individual rights was on the line, it’s this one in 2020. The only way they can win is to change the rules and stuff the ballot box with phony mail-in votes. It’s time to take the gloves off. We the People will never allow these swamp creatures and their useful idiots like Joy Behar to win.
