Mark and Patricia McCloskey of St. Louis, Missouri made headlines over the weekend after 500 Black Lives Matter protesters broke a gate in their community and staged a “protest.” The married couple, who are well-known lawyers, met the BLM activists by brandishing an AR-15 and a handgun. Leftwing news outlets claim the 500 BLM protesters who “marched” through a community in St. Louis were “peaceful.” However, most news outlets are refusing to address the fact that those protesters were caught breaking in and destroying a gate.

This march through the community started after Mayor Lyda Krewson, who is a Democrat, reportedly “doxxed” some protesters who were for “defunding the police.”

“More than 500 protesters rallied in the neighborhood of St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson’s home. She’s come under fire in recent days, after giving out the names and addresses of some protesters who had wrote letters to her suggesting she should defund the police department. Krewson apologized on Facebook for it,” KMOX radio reports.

Well, Mark and Patricia McCloskey were not going to sit idly by after the couple witnessed the mob break through the historic gates of their community. The husband and wife are personal-injury lawyers who work together in the McCloskey Law Center.

The married couple said they feared for their lives. So much for a “peaceful protest.”

“A mob of at least 100 smashed through the historic wrought iron gates of Portland Place, destroying them, rushed towards my home where my family was having dinner outside and put us in fear of our lives,” Mr. McCloskey said.

Reporter Alexis Zotos also captured the protesters before the gate was destroyed. However, pics she posted also show the gate was destroyed at some point.

According to police, the couple told protesters that they were trespassing on a private street and needed to leave. Shortly after, the couple grabbed their guns after noticing several armed protesters in the crowd, shouting threats.

“This is all private property. There are no public sidewalks or public streets. We were told that we would be killed, our home burned and our dog killed. We were all alone facing an angry mob,” McCloskey told News 4.

Later in the night, protesters defaced the street by painting “RESIGN” on the street in front of the mayor’s house.

The armed couple is getting support from Americans on social media who can understand the fear they felt as 500 protesters engulfed their neighborhood. We all have seen what can happen within minutes when these far-left radicals get out of hand. The rioting and looting and burning can kick off within seconds.

The popular conservative website, The Conservative Treehouse, called out the UPI reporter who had no problem with breaking into a gated community.

“So @BILLGREENBLATT of UPI participated, willfully and intentionally, in breaking into the private property of St. Louis residents. Is @UPI ok with that? Where does @ksdknews stand on this issue, legally?” they tweeted.

“They have a right to protect their property. In Texas, we would have shot the intruders, and it’s legal,” responded Melva McClenny.

Conservative comedian Nicole Arbour posted about the McCloskeys: “I love these people.”

Mark and Patricia McCloskey are no racists. They are responsible property owners and have every right to arm themselves.

In fact, Mark McCloskey is representing a Black man who was kicked by a St. Louis police officer while trying to surrender to the cop in April 2019. The officer in that case, David Maas, was indicted on a federal charge of deprivation of rights under color of law in March, reports The Insider.

Well, that makes these Black Lives Matter thugs look really stupid. They are vilifying the McCloskeys on social media.

This is going to happen more and more as these BLM radicals start to break into suburban neighborhoods. While every American has a right to protest, you do not have a right to break into communities. The Tea Party movement made sure they had permits to protest and informed the appropriate city hall officials. That’s the way to protest legally.

These leftwing radicals are under the assumption that they can “protest” wherever and whenever they want. Well, they are learning the hard way they don’t have a right to break the law. They will be met by armed Americans who will be exercising their right to protect their homes and businesses, and they aren’t afraid of the angry mob who threatens our American way of life.
