John Wayne Airport is the biggest airfield in Orange County, California. Wayne was a longtime resident of Orange County, and residents were happy to name the Santa Ana airport after him. Now, thanks to Democrat shenanigans that caused the Republican county to go blue in 2018, they have passed a resolution to change the name of the airport, claiming Wayne was a “bigot.” That’s when patriotic Americans including President Donald Trump torched them. You’ll love this.
For those Americans who grew up in Orange County, California, the biggest claim to fame besides the numerous orange orchards was the fact that the legendary Hollywood star, known as “the duke,” was a longtime resident. In fact, Wayne lived at 14 Rue Grand Ducal in Newport Beach.
Get it? Ducal means “pertaining to a duke.” John Wayne was so beloved and rightly heralded as a true patriot. Just three years ago, Newport Beach named a park after him.
“He is a symbol for character and strength throughout our nation,” Mayor Kevin Muldoon said. “John Wayne does more than inspire the many of us here in Newport Beach who are proud that he called Newport home.”
Guest speakers praised Wayne for his support of the U.S. military and his undying patriotism. Wayne’s granddaughter, Jennifer Wayne, and her country band Runaway June sang the national anthem.
Ethan Wayne said his father always felt like he was part of the community and would have been honored.
“He had a sense of home here and this was a guy who traveled a lot,” Wayne said. “I’m happy to know that future generations will be able to come to this beautiful park and remember my father as an example of strength, grit, and kindness.”
One local resident who is a military veteran of Iraq, Murad Wartanyan, penned a letter to the city saying he felt Wayne was a symbol of America and that “I always felt that he was not acting.”
“Whenever his films came to Iraq, we all saw them four or five times. When I was in my 20s we all wanted to be like his image,” Wartanyan wrote.
So, just three years later, John Wayne is now a “bigot” and the airport must be renamed?
“California Democrats in Orange County have passed a resolution demanding that the county’s John Wayne Airport be renamed. But there’s more: They want likenesses of Wayne — photos, statues, everything — removed from the airport, which was named in his honor in 1979, shortly after the western actor died,” Daily Wire reports.
Orange County was a Republican stronghold until 2018. That’s when mail-in voting caused six of the seven seats to be lost, statewide. Four of those seats were in Orange County.
“Ballot harvesting” was legalized in California in 2016, and it was first used in the 2018 midterm elections. It allows anyone to drop off someone else’s mail-in ballot at a polling station. There is no process for vetting or verifying those delivering the ballots — no background checks or identification requirements.
Democrats dropped hundreds of thousands of ballots off at polling stations in 2018, helping Democrats as they flipped four Republican seats in Orange County. As a result, John Wayne Airport will now be renamed. Elections matter, but what matters, even more, is mail-in voting that leads to voter fraud.
Patriots blasted the Democrats for trashing John Wayne, who is an American icon.
“Can anyone believe that Princeton just dropped the name of Woodrow Wilson from their highly respected policy center. Now the Do-Nothing Democrats want to take off the name John Wayne from an airport. Incredible stupidity!” tweeted President Trump.

“California has a homelessness crisis, failing schools, gang violence, illegal alien problems, massive unfunded pensions, not to mention an ongoing pandemic and all Democrats there care about is renaming the John Wayne Airport. You can’t make this up,” tweeted Charlie Kirk.

“So now Gavin Newsom may rename JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT in CA! I’ve never heard of John Wayne being a racist. Its bc John Wayne represents Masculinity? Which the Left has also been systematically killing off. What will they rename it to, ‘ANTIFA Airport?’ Or Eric Swallowell Airport?” tweeted DeAnne Lorraine.

“So the Democrats wanna change the name of John Wayne Airport? The Democrats invented racism in America, they fought to preserve it. Maybe they should change their name?” tweeted “SUPERdemocrat.”

If we are going to trash every statue and rename every organization, street, and city based on “political correctness,” we will erase our history and lose our American identity.
The Black Lives Matter contingency had to scroll through 50 years of statements made by Wayne to find one remark he made to Playboy in 1971.
“I believe in white supremacy until the blacks are educated to a point of responsibility. I don’t believe in giving authority and positions of leadership and judgment to irresponsible people,” he said in the interview 49 years ago. “I don’t feel guilty about the fact that five or ten generations ago these people were slaves,” he said at another point.
At the time, the Black Panthers were causing a ton of issues in Los Angeles. They were promoting civil war and would regularly be armed and cause mayhem. This is not an excuse for his statement. However, every single person is not a sum total of one remark.
John Wayne is a true American icon and a symbol of American strength. No one can deny he was a true patriot, and his remark should be taken in the same context as we do someone like Thomas Jefferson, who owned slaves, but who also wrote the Declaration of Independence.
We are all imperfect human beings, and our history is now being erased thanks to these BLM radicals who routinely break the law. We cannot be frightened to stand up to them. They already call all Trump supporters “racist.” They must be called out for their Marxist movement that is out to destroy America from within.
