Dennis Quaid Blasts Dems: While You Were Impeaching Trump, He Saved The Country

Dennis Quaid is sick and tired of the Democrats bashing President Donald Trump. The 65-year-old Hollywood actor also took his pro-Trump message straight to the leftist media who asked him what were his thoughts on Trump and the coronavirus. They didn’t like what he had to say. You’ll love this.

Dennis Quaid is not one of the Hollywood activists who spends his free time trashing the Commander in Chief. In fact, Quaid left the anti-Trump media outlet, The Daily Beast, totally shocked by his statements.

The star of The Right Stuff, Innerspace, and The Day After Tomorrow revealed that as a young man, Ronald Reagan was his favorite president, saying that he voted for Reagan in 1980.

Dennis Quaid, who is considered a Hollywood “A-lister,” offered his words of praise for President Trump in a conversation with The Daily Beast to promote his new podcast “The Dennissance.”

“I think Trump, no matter what anybody thinks of him, is doing a good job at trying to get these states — and all of the American people — what they need, and also trying to hold our economy together and be prepared for when this is all over,” he said.

Later in the interview, The Daily Beast tried to assign blame to President Trump, claiming he acted late. But Quaid pointed out that the president’s travel ban to China, which was enacted in January, was met with accusations of racism.

“Trump did do the travel ban to China, and then to Europe very quickly afterward, and he was castigated by a lot of members of Congress, who were just getting out of the impeachment, that it was racist what he was doing,” the actor said.

“It’s a good thing we had that travel ban at the time. You know, the world has never experienced this, and I don’t think it’s a time to be political. I think it’s just time to get behind our government and have everybody do what they can,” Quaid added.

Quaid also said he approves of President Trump’s daily White House briefings on the coronavirus.

“I do appreciate that Trump is giving the briefings and on television every day giving out the information, and I think they have great people handling it.”

Quaid revealed he was supposed to star in a biopic of President Reagan, but the project has been put on hold due to the coronavirus outbreak.

“He was my favorite president growing up. I voted for him in 1980, and I had a roommate and when I came home and told him I voted for Reagan he said, ‘You are kicked out of the hippies,’” the actor said. “I think he was, in my mind, definitely my favorite president in my lifetime. He was on a par with FDR and Lincoln too, I think. He really transformed our country.”

Right on cue, the Trump-haters had to trash Quaid for praising the president.

I don’t go to Trump for Medical Advice And I don’t go to #DennisQuaid for Political Advice,” tweeted Allison Greene.

“Well, Dennis Quaid is dead to me,” tweeted “Boy Culture Blog.”

“I’m so mad at Dennis Quaid for thinking Trump is doing a good job that I went to my garage and threw out his latest movie on Betamax,” tweeted Tony Posnanski.

There were many more Americans who were backing up Dennis Quaid and laughing at the leftists melting down.

“A-List actor Dennis Quaid doesn’t give a rip about the liberal mob-squad. He is speaking out – and he’s suspicious of the media and praising Trump for doing a good job!” tweeted radio host Wayne DuPree.

“If Dennis Quaid said Trump was doing a crappy job he’d be the Left’s hero this morning. But since he said Trump is doing a good job they want him to shut up. Predictable bastards,” tweeted “Skull Queen FOO.”

WOW, I bet Dems are having a meltdown! Dennis Quaid praises President Trump’s coronavirus response & his administration for taking early action such as the travel ban & for his #coronavirus briefings,” tweeted “Jamie Army Girl.”

In a conversation with The New York Post, Quaid stated he was a registered independent and has voted for candidates from both major U.S. political parties. Quaid also expressed his independence from any political party or ideology and being open to other points of view.

One of the highlights of his career will be when he is able to play his favorite president, Ronald Reagan.

“I’m fascinated by Ronald Reagan,” said Quaid. “And we do share a couple of traits. He had an optimistic, sunny disposition way of looking at life. And we’re both actors. He has an incredible life story. A story that I think most people really don’t know. They think they know the man, but they don’t.”

Now, Quaid is getting his share of hatred from those suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome. An avowed Christian from Texas, the Hollywood actor doesn’t need or want the approval of those who would bash the president during a national emergency.
