Diamond & Silk Canned By Fox News Over ‘COVID Remarks,’ Trump Fires Back

Lynette “Diamond” Hardaway and Rochelle “Silk” Richardson are the latest casualties of Fox News‘ attempt to turn the cable news network into a more “politically correct” media outlet. Popular Fox Business anchor Trish Reagan also got canned by the network at the end of March. What were their crimes? All three ladies dared to question what was really going on with the COVID crisis, and that’s why President Donald Trump fired back. Don’t miss this.

The coronavirus isn’t just claiming the lives of Americans and destroying our economy. The politicization of the crisis has also cost those who dared to question the motives of the Democrats, the mainstream media, and the “medical experts.”

Six days before Fox News canned Trish Regan, The New York Times reported CEO Rupert Murdoch appointed his left-leaning son, Lachlan Murdoch, to ensure the cable news network stopped any so-called “misinformation” about the coronavirus.

Lachlan Murdoch’s first move was to fire seasoned journalist Trish Regan, who did not always back everything President Donald Trump did or said but was adamant about the president being railroaded by the Democrats in the Ukraine impeachment farce.

However, when Regan also questioned the Democrats’ outlandish actions in the COVID crisis, she was quickly dispatched.

“Although [FOX] tolerated her defense of the president during the Ukrainian impeachment hoax, they cowered when Regan challenged the conventional narrative of the coronavirus crisis,” Real Clear Politics reports.

“We’ve reached a tipping point,” Regan said on her March 9 show. “The chorus of hate being leveled at the president is nearing a crescendo as Democrats blame him and only him for a virus that originated halfway around the world. This is yet another attempt to impeach the president.”

“Many in the liberal media [are] using, and I mean using, coronavirus in an attempt to demonize and destroy the president,” she added.

It didn’t take long for the liberal media to circle the wagons and start taking potshots at Regan. She was “truly bonkers,” according to the Daily Beast, which labeled her riff against the “coronavirus impeachment scam” as “batsh*t” crazy.

Which brings us to Diamond and Silk.

If Lachlan Murdoch could fire a real journalist with real credentials, then getting rid of two popular Trump supporters was no big thing.

“Regan is a real journalist with real credentials. She’s no dummy. She has a degree in history from Columbia University and wasn’t considered ‘bonkers’ when she worked for CBS News, where she was nominated for an Emmy for investigative reporting,” RCP declared.

“She wasn’t considered ‘batsh*t’ crazy when she worked for CNBC and was nominated for an Emmy for best documentary. Nor when she worked for Bloomberg Television or Fox Business for the last eight years,” RCP added.

Diamond and Silk’s crime was similar to Trish Regan. They questioned whether the Democrats and their cohorts were using the virus to hurt President Trump and asked how far would they go?

“What I need to know is how many people have passed away in New York, and what I need to know is: Who has the bodies?” Diamond asked during a March 30th live stream. “I need for somebody that does investigative work to call the morgues. To call the funeral homes. We need to know, because I don’t trust anything else that comes out of his mouth now… Something’s not right here. Something is off here.”

“Is this being deliberately spread? Look, I’m not being a conspiracy theorist, this is real, but I’m asking my own questions. What the hell is going on?” she added.

Immediately, the Daily Beast did a hit piece on the sister act, just as they did with Trish Regan. Lachlan Murdoch couldn’t allow them to stay. He socializes in the same circles as the leftist Washington D.C. elite who see the Daily Beast as the pinnacle of journalism.

What a joke.

Diamond and Silk’s views are not so crazy. Urgent Care doctors in California also claimed their emergency room colleagues were aghast when filing out death certificates authorities told them to mark “coronavirus” as the cause, even though it was not the primary cause of death.

“When someone dies in this country right now, they’re not talking about the high blood pressure, the diabetes, the stroke. They’re saying ‘Did they die from COVID?'” Dr. Dan Erickson said on The Ingraham Angle Monday night.

“We’ve been to hundreds of autopsies. You don’t talk about one thing, you talk about comorbidities. ER doctors now [say] ‘It’s interesting when I’m writing about my death report, I’m being pressured to add COVID. Why is that?” Dr. Erickson added.

Diamond and Silk broke their silence with a tweet: “Haters keep saying they hate Diamond and Silk, but you can’t hate what you ain’t never loved!”

“But I love Diamond & Silk, and so do millions of people!” responded President Trump.

President Trump on Sunday also slammed Fox News’ coverage and recent hires and criticized former House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI), who is a member of the Fox Corp. board of directors.

“Fox keeps on plugging to try and become politically correct,” the president tweeted. “They put RINO Paul Ryan on their Board. They hire ‘debate questions to Crooked Hillary fraud Donna Brazile (and others who are even worse).’”

“Fox News just doesn’t get what’s happening!” he added. “They are being fed Democrat talking points, and they play them without hesitation or research.”

There is no doubt President Trump is extremely frustrated by Fox News who under Lachlan Murdoch’s rule is getting rid of minor players who he can afford to fire. However, Laura Ingraham and Tucker Carlson are daring to do segments on the same issues that got Trish Regan and Diamond and Silk fired.

Fox News may start to suffer if Lachlan Murdoch gets his way and pulls the network too far to the left. He should be warned: Americans won’t tolerate nonsense and will get their news elsewhere if the Murdochs remain committed to turning Fox into another CNN.
