Nancy: ‘I Don’t Think There Should Be Debates’ – Trump Gives Her Rude Awakening

For several months, the Democrats have been calling reports that Joe Biden will not debate President Donald Trump another “rightwing conspiracy theory.” However, Nancy Pelosi just couldn’t help herself. On Thursday, the House Speaker told reporters: “I myself — don’t tell anybody I told you this. Especially don’t tell Joe Biden. I don’t think that there should be any debates.” Well, that’s when Trump gave her a rude awakening about the debates, and she never saw it coming.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said Thursday that she does not think 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden should participate in any of the scheduled debates against President Donald Trump.

In a press conference, Pelosi was asked about the presidential debates, to which she replied that she does not think Biden should take Trump seriously.

“I myself — don’t tell anybody I told you this. Especially don’t tell Joe Biden. I don’t think that there should be any debates,” the speaker bluntly stated, fueling the concerns of those who suspect Biden will cave to outside pressure and skip the presidential debates:

“I do not think that the President of the United States has comported himself in a way that has any association with truth, evidence data, and facts,” she said. “I wouldn’t legitimize a conversation with him nor a debate in terms of the presidency of the United States.”

While she acknowledged that the Biden campaign “thinks in a different way” about the subject, she drilled her point, criticizing Trump’s conduct in the 2016 debates with failed challenger Hillary Clinton.

“But I just thought what he did in 2016 was disgraceful — stalking Hillary Clinton like that,” she said, expressing frustration in the press for refusing to tell Trump, “Go back to your station. You’re not here. You don’t own this stage. You have your own podium. She has hers.”

She told reporters she believes Trump will “act in a way that is beneath the dignity of the presidency” because he “does that every day.”

“But I think he will also belittle what the debates are supposed to be about,” she continued while accusing him of trying to undermine the election.

Smelling blood in the water and knowing Pelosi’s statement exposed Biden as a very weak candidate who the Democrat elites are worried about, Biden’s campaign released a statement.

“We certainly agree with Speaker Pelosi on her views of the President’s behavior. But just as she has powerfully confronted that behavior in the Oval Office and the Cabinet Room, Joe Biden looks forward to doing the same on the debate stage,” the Biden campaign stated.

Biden stumbled when asked about Pelosi’s remark claiming he wants a “fact-checker” on the floor.

Trump gives Nancy a rude awakening about the debates.

The president is calling for a “drug test” before the debates. Trump knows that those who suffer from cognitive issues can be helped by certain drugs. Some have suggested, like leftwing journalist Liz Franczak, that they pump Biden up on the narcotic Adderall when they need a good performance.

“We’re going to call for a drug test,” Trump said.

“What do you think was going on?” asked a reporter.

“I don’t know how he could have been so incompetent in his debate performances and then all of a sudden be OK against Bernie,” Trump answered. “My point is, if you go back and watch some of those numerous debates, he was so bad. He wasn’t even coherent. And against Bernie, he was. And we’re calling for a drug test.”

Trump added this is like a prize-fight.

“It’s no different from the gladiators, except we have to use our brain and our mouth. And our body to stand. I want all standing; they want to sit down,” the president added.

“All I can tell you is that I’m pretty good at this stuff,” he said. “I look. I watched him in the debates with all of the different people. He was close to incompetent, if not incompetent, and against Bernie, he was normal … and I say, ‘How does that happen?'”

CNN host Brian Stelter was one of those who called Biden ditching the debates another “rightwing media tempest…  fueled by hour after hour of Fox commentary (not reporting), far removed from campaign reality….”

“Brian, is it still just a right-wing media tempest?” Reagan Battalion tweeted to the CNN host.

Americans made it known they will not stand for these Democrat games when the presidency is on the line.

“This is ridiculous. What she’s really saying is that she doesn’t think American voters are smart enough to assess the 2 candidates debating issues – that it’s better not to give Trump a chance to ‘mislead’ you. This is infantalizing. You want the job, you take the interview,” tweeted Casey Mattox.

“Are you afraid of what will happen when someone other than Cardi B asks Joe Biden questions?” tweeted Danny Batsalkin.

“Insane. Totally ridiculous that Biden and his allies think he can just skate through an election without debating,” tweeted Will Bodycot.

Nancy Pelosi knew exactly what she was saying.

This was no gaffe. This is the leading Democrat in Congress floating a trial balloon to see if she can get voters to buy into this nonsense that Joe Biden should not debate. It didn’t go over too well. A few weeks ago, the New York Times put out a piece saying the same thing as Pelosi.

It’s imperative that Americans see the two men vying for the most important political office in the nation on stage to explain themselves. We know the voters who put Trump over the top in 2016 decided only after the debates who they would support. We deserve debates, and this is one thing the silver-tongued Democrats can get out of. If Joe can’t debate, then how he can be the leader of the free world?
