Nancy Pelosi is the third-highest ranking elected politician in the nation, and right now we are in a national emergency. However, the House Speaker used her position to ensure she and her cohorts are enjoying “full pay” leave. As many Americans are grappling with sudden unemployment thanks to the coronavirus crisis, Pelosi also had the audacity to make a video showing off her very expensive kitchen. Talk about a “let them eat cake” attitude. That’s why Americans torched her. Don’t miss this.
Nancy Pelosi issued a directive that put the House on “full pay” leave until May 4. The GOP congressmen were livid and many stayed on Capitol Hill to fulfill their commitment to President Donald Trump and the American people.
“The House will not come back to Washington until at least May 4 unless it needs to pass emergency measures to respond to the coronavirus pandemic, Majority Leader Steny Hoyer’s office told representatives Monday,” CNBC reports.
That doesn’t mean they will resume business on May 4, especially if the Democrat governors balk at the president’s plan to restart the economy in May. Pelosi will likely extend that May 4 deadline.
Making matter worse for Pelosi, she joined CBS late-night host James Corden from her home to show off her two commercial-sized refrigerators and her freezer full of ice cream.
“This is the episode of [MTV] Cribs I never knew I needed,” joked The Late Late Show host as Pelosi opened up her freezer full of ice cream.
“We’ve asked [Pelosi] to share something from her home, for a little late late show and tell,” said Corden. “Speaker Pelosi, what have you found? What are you going to share with us from your home?”
“Chocolate. Chocolate. Chocolate. Chocolate candy,” repeated Pelosi, who then held up what appeared to be an Easter basket for the camera. “And, this is something you can get through the mail. Want me to show you?”
“Yeah, absolutely, this is the episode of cribs I never knew I needed,” joked the Late Late Show host.
Pelosi then pulled open her freezer to showcase several tubs of ice cream.
“Other people in our family go for some other flavors, but chocolate, and then we have some other chocolate here,” she said.
“Since you’ve been isolating in your house, how much of your regular diet do you think is ice cream and candy?” asked Corden, to which Pelosi responded with word salad.
“Well, as much as possible,” said the House Speaker. “It is… I enjoy it. I like it better than anything else, and I don’t know why, but it seems to agree with me. I have a lot of energy. And we just got it restocked, the ice cream, right for Easter Sunday, because we were, shall we say, enjoying… I don’t know what I would have done if ice cream were not invented. I just wonder.”
Talk about bad optics and not being in reality.

We will all remember that while the president and many GOP politicians stayed on Capitol Hill to work on fixing this national emergency, it was Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats who abandoned their posts while getting fully paid to do not one thing.
We can’t imagine the anger Americans who have lost everything to this pandemic must feel toward Nancy Pelosi. Her gaffe at making that tone-deaf video will go down as one of the biggest blunders by any politician during a national emergency.
