Omar: Bernie’s Socialist Medicine Would Cure Coronavirus, Gets Rude Awakening

Rep. Ilhan Omar is a surrogate for the Bernie Sanders campaign, and she is also a huge proponent for eradicating all private insurance companies in favor of having a government-run socialist healthcare system. In fact, the Minnesota Congresswoman just suggested that his “Medicare for all” system would be America’s best bet in curing the coronavirus. Well, that’s when she got a rude awakening. You’ll love this.

The coronavirus has been weaponized politically to trash President Donald Trump. The mainstream media is doubling down on creating panic even though the facts are anyone under 60-years-old is pretty darn safe even if they do catch it.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) thought it was a good idea to use the coronavirus to pander for “Medicare for all.” The basics of “Medicare for All” is dismantling private insurance and turning everything over to the government so we could pay tens of billions of dollars that no one knows how we’re going to get so we can have “free” health care.

Omar’s twisted take was dropped on all Americans: If the government subsumes the private health care industry and takes over the country’s massive, unwieldy medical apparatus, it’ll help stop the “pandemic” of COVID-19.

“It’s easy to mock Medicare for All until there’s a pandemic,” Omar tweeted.

Omar really isn’t someone Americans should be listening to when it comes to the coronavirus. Last week, she was caught at a Sanders rally telling everyone to hold hands.”Speaking of coronavirus, Ilhan Omar is asking everyone at this Bernie rally to hold hands,” tweeted Buzzfeed reporter Molly Hensley-Clancy.

But that’s not all. Omar is also spreading the same lies about President Trump and the coronavirus that were debunked by the Associated Press

“The President: Cut CDC efforts to prevent global disease outbreaks by 80%. Shut down the entire global-health-security unit of the National Security Council. Cut national health spending by $15 billion. It’s easy to attack America’s government—until there’s a pandemic,” posted Omar.

“AP FACT CHECK: Democrats distort coronavirus readiness,” is the headline from their February 26 article. “Trump’s budgets have proposed cuts to public health, only to be overruled by Congress, where there’s strong bipartisan support for agencies such as the CDC and NIH. Instead, financing has increased.”

In fact, funding to the CDC under Trump increased by three billion dollars. Omar’s epic fail is her obvious ignorance of why America is always leading in finding cures and new medications. It’s directly tied to our free-market capitalist society.

In contrast, the coronavirus started in a country that has socialized medicine: China. The Chinese government’s response has been to silence whistleblowers and to build field hospitals because their current system can’t take care of the victims.

The cure for most diseases comes from America, a country that does not have socialized health care. It’s true our healthcare system has issues. However, if we could get rid of Obamacare totally and let all insurance companies compete across state lines for our business, prices would go down and the quality of care would go up.

That’s why Americans gave Rep. Omar a rude awakening.

“The United States has the best infectious disease units, facilities, doctors, and researchers in the world because we *don’t* have socialized healthcare,” tweeted Stephen Mason.

“COVID-19 Deaths 3,042 – China (socialized medicine) 148 – Italy (socialized medicine) 108 – Iran (socialized medicine) 42 – South Korea (socialized medicine) 13 – United States (semi-socialized medicine),” tweeted Michael Openshaw.

Rep now MD Omar? Hospitals can’t refuse people medical help in the emergency room, that has always been the policy, therefore Medicare for all is moot. 1. Medicare for all is not fiscally responsible 2. Securing our border and #BuildTheWall is also a preventative measure,” tweeted Debbie Aldrich.

“Its easier to mock those who try to politicize pandemics and actually hope for people to die to further their agendas,” tweeted “Roger C.”

“And yet, it’s not the countries with socialized medicine that are developing the specialized tests, treatments, and vaccines needed to deal with new and rare diseases. Socialized medicine kills innovation. Medicare for All would crush any hope of finding cures,” tweeted Rep. Dan Crenshaw.

Ilhan Omar spreads lies and misinformation on the coronavirus hoping to dupe Americans into embracing government-run socialized healthcare.

Americans invented airplanes, the telephone, the automobile, and the light bulb, just to name a few things. It was due to the “American dream” that these innovations were possible. That dream is any man or woman is free to compete in the free market where the sky is the limit.

The free market is what makes the discoveries possible. If we adopt socialized health care, then there is zero incentive to become a doctor or researcher. All doctors and researchers would work for the government and their salaries would stagnate. Why would anyone work hard to become a neuro-surgeon if they are getting paid the same as some mid-level bureaucrat?

So, thanks but no thanks to socialized health care. Rep. Omar’s dream of a socialist utopia would kill the dreams of the best and brightest coming of age in America today.
