Whoopi Goldberg went nuts after her newfound esteem for Mitt Romeny was exposed as totally hypocritical. In 2012, Goldberg claimed Mitt was a “confused candidate” who “flushed his ideals down the drain” and “sheds ideas faster than a snake sheds skin.” Now, Whoopi is calling Romney a “profile in courage” and lavishing praise on him after he voted to convict the president. That’s when she was exposed as one big fraud on live TV, and boy was she furious.

The View is such a travesty pushing hardcore leftist talking points that even Never Trumper Meghan McCain can’t stand the hypocrisy and double standards. That’s what happened on Thursday morning when Whoopi Goldberg started gushing over Mitt Romney.

To understand Goldberg’s hypocrisy, it’s important to take a look at what she said about the Utah Senator in the past.

Right before the 2012 election, Goldberg went on a Twitter rant against Mitt Romney, calling him a “confused candidate” who “flushed his ideals down the drain” and “sheds ideas faster than a snake sheds skin.”

She added: “I thought you were more like your dad and then you opened your mouth and I realized you were nothing like him.”

George Romney was a huge flip-flopper and one of the original swamp creatures.

“Mitt learned at an impressionable age that in politics, authenticity kills,” historian Rick Perlstein wrote in Rolling Stone. “Heeding the lesson of his father’s fall, he became a virtual parody of an inauthentic politician.”

Back then Whoopi called Romney out on his flip-flop from a flaming liberal to a conservative: “Yes once I thought there was the possibility of a moderate Republican who could make the race with Obama at least interesting. But that was months ago before your desperation to be President made you forget your ideals.”

Whoopi was upset Romney changed all his stances. He was pro-abortion, pro-gun control, pro-taxes, and pro-climate change. That was then, this is now. On Thursday morning, Goldberg claimed she had nothing but respect and admiration for the failed presidential candidate.

“I have to say he is his father’s son,” Goldberg said. Then, she went on a litany about how George Romney was a wonderful man.

Meghan McCain then called out Romney and Whoopi’s utter hypocrisy.

“What struck me in that [Netflix] documentary was he was obsessed with not being a loser after he lost in 2012 and said he didn’t want to be, quote, ‘branded a loser for life,'” McCain said.

McCain went on to note that Romney had courted the president during the transition in late 2016, apparently angling for a position in Trump’s cabinet — even secretary of state.

“I like when anyone bucks a party. I will always respect it and I think it took big cojones to do that yesterday [Wednesday] but it doesn’t take much courage right now to do anything that’s not going to have any impact,” McCain continued, pointing out the fact that even without Romney’s vote, the acquittal would stand.

“President Trump was acquitted yesterday. I just think Mitt Romney, I want to trust him, but would he still feel that way if Trump gave him his secretary of state position?” McCain asked.

Citing the Utah senator’s “history as a flip-flopper,” McCain said she would never fully be able to trust that his motives were pure.

“I think right now the idea that he woke up and found his conscience —” McCain started.

“I’m just glad somebody stood up and said ‘no.’ Finally,” Goldberg interrupted.

“But that’s what he wants. I think he wants —” McCain protested trying to point out Romney did this stunt to get all the praise from the leftist media, and that’s what he was getting from Goldberg.

“That’s okay. You know what, I’m going to give faith in him like I gave to your dad,” Goldberg interrupted again.

“With all due respect, Mitt Romney is nothing like my dad,” McCain shot back.

Goldberg went on to explain that she meant she would give Romney the benefit of the doubt in this situation like she had with the late Republican Arizona Sen. John McCain, adding, “He stood up in a way that nobody else has except for your dad. So I’m saying to you —”

“I’m saying don’t put all your bets on Romney right now,” McCain continued. “He will break your heart like he always does.”

They went on to argue when finally Meghan exposed Whoopi as a big fraud.

“Half the time you hate him. You hated him,” McCain told Goldberg, who was furious she was exposed as an utter hypocrite:

Well, Whoopi Goldberg has really been on a roll, lately.

On Wednesday, Whoopi Goldberg claimed that talk radio legend Rush Limbaugh did not deserve the Presidential Medal of Freedom because it was “for people who actually did stuff.”

“How about if you’re going to give the Medal of Freedom to someone who actually has made differences in the country and done all kinds of stuff, how about giving it to Elijah Cummings’ wife as a thank you for all of his service?” Goldberg asked.

Sadly, we all know Obama gave the same medal to Tom Hanks, Robert De Niro, Ellen Degeneres, Saturday Night Live’s producer Lorne Micheals, Bruce Springsteen, Barbra Streisand, and Steven Spielberg.

Now, she’s proven once again to be an utter hypocrite. Goldberg hated Mitt Romney when he was running against Barack Obama. She pointed out his blatant flip-flopping on all major issues. However, now that he has sided with the swamp rats in the Democrat Party, Whoopi claims Mitt Romney will go down as a “profile in courage” when history is written.
