Whoopi Goldberg and her co-hosts on The View are spreading dangerous misinformation on the coronavirus hoping to make President Donald Trump look like a fool. On Monday, Goldberg said Trump really needs to shut up when it comes to hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine. Goldberg led a discussion where the co-hosts agreed experts have said the drugs don’t work and accused the president of touting the drugs to benefit himself. Well, they were all proven wrong.
When polio was ravaging America, parents’ worst fears were realized as children became paralyzed across the country. When Jonas Salk finished the first trials of his vaccine in 1955, the country was “at war” with polio, and that one trial was enough for Americans to demand it.
There are scores of physicians and clinicians who condemned Salk’s trial as not enough “evidence” and warned that “hundreds of trials” were needed before the vaccine should be released to the public. The fear of polio was wide-spread. However, it did not shut down the U.S. economy.
Now, we have the mainstream media picking up the Democrats’ latest narrative to undermine the anti-malarial drug’s success at treating the virus. This brings us to Whoopi and her crew who were spreading misinformation during Monday’s broadcast.
“You know who is continuing to tout this anti-malarial drug which has not been proven or effective against the coronavirus,” Goldberg said. “But he admitted he really doesn’t know what he’s talking about.”
Goldberg then shows a clip of Trump saying the United States is buying hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine from different countries like India, and that he has heard if you are a first responder, or a doctor, or nurse, taking it as a prophylactic is gaining popularity based on results. He said, “I’m not a doctor but I have common sense.”
“So, if you’re not a doctor why not say nothing?” Goldberg said. “Let the doctors speak. Let him give his expert opinion…I mean I’d rather hear what he has to say frankly, I don’t care what the president has said. He doesn’t know anything about this drug.”
Sunny Hostin then piped in saying Dr. Fauci said that “there is only very little anecdotal evidence, and the FDA has not approved it for treating COVID-19.”
She adds that she is scared that if the United States is “stockpiling” this medication then her friends with “Lupus” won’t get it when they need it. Hostin added that Trump must have “ulterior motives.” She suggested he must be promoting the drugs to enrich himself.

This show is chock full of lies and misinformation, and when it comes to a pandemic, Whoopi and her crew are now dangerous.
Like the parents who were raising kids during the polio epidemic, Americans can’t wait two years to get a vaccine. The economy is already devastated, and the untold deaths from another Great Depression could be avoided with drugs like hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine.
Dr. Mehmet Oz, the noted cardiothoracic surgeon told Sean Hannity on Monday night that the evidence for these anti-malarial drugs is no longer “anecdotal.”
“Dr. Didier Raoult, who is the preeminent expert on infectious diseases in the world just finished a series with 1000 patients,” Oz said. “Out of 1000, 7 died and 20 ended up in the ICU. The rest recovered.”
We are also conducting studies in the United States. Whoopi and her crew would be begging for these drugs of they got sick.
“A new study is seeking to determine if a decades-old drug used to treat malaria and lupus might be effective at stopping the spread of COVID-19,” ABC News reports. “Researchers at the University of Washington are leading the potentially groundbreaking work on hydroxychloroquine.”
Even a Democrat state representative from Detroit, Michigan has given credit to hydroxychloroquine and President Donald Trump for saving her life as she battled the deadly coronavirus.
“Michigan state Rep. Karen Whitsett, who recently tested positive for COVID-19, said she began taking hydroxychloroquine once her doctor prescribed it to her on March 31,” Breitbart reports.
“It has a lot to do with the president … bringing it up,” Whitsett said. “He is the only person who has the power to make it a priority.”
Meanwhile, a doctor in Los Angeles has had real success with the anti-malarial drugs.
“Dr. Anthony Cardillo said he has seen very promising results when prescribing hydroxychloroquine in combination with zinc for the most severely-ill COVID-19 patients,” ABC News reports.
“Every patient I’ve prescribed it to has been very, very ill and within 8 to 12 hours, they were basically symptom-free,” Cardillo told Eyewitness News. “So clinically I am seeing a resolution.”
Of course, Maxine Waters was spreading lies and propaganda saying: “Do not listen to 45 when he suggests untested #Hydroxychloroquine to treat #COVID19 – listen to Fauci. Don’t listen to 45 when he says heat will kill the virus; or he won’t wear a mask; or when he calls hospital workers thieves, or refuses natl lockdown! 45 just can’t be trusted!”
“A Los Angeles Dr. Anthony Cardillo (Mend UC CEO) has seen promising results prescribing a malaria drug for severely-ill COVID-19 patients,” Romina Guzman responded. “PLS. DO NOT LISTEN TO #LowIQMaxine. LA doctor seeing success with hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19.”

This is just one report of many coming in from around the world. Yes, these are no longer “anecdotal.” Like the president said, “What do you have to lose?”
The FDA has approved hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine for emergency use against the virus.
“The Food and Drug Administration has given emergency approval to a Trump administration plan to distribute millions of doses of anti-malarial drugs to hospitals across the country,” Washington Post reports.
Many in the anti-Trump media say we don’t know the side effects. Well, that’s another lie. The anti-malarial drugs have been around for 70 years and are used every day with little to no side effects.
Another observation is those who were already taking the drugs for Lupus and other diseases are not coming down with the virus. Also, in Africa, where these drugs are taken heavily, we see little to no COVID-19.
We will not know for years and years what this evidence amounts to in regards to the coronavirus. However, it’s safe to say watching The View can be a risk to your health and the health of loved ones. Whoopi and her crews’ Trump Derangement Syndrome doesn’t mix well with this national emergency.
