Whoopi Goldberg is claiming President Donald Trump has no authority to act like a “king” and cut funding to the World Health Organization (WHO). Goldberg says the WHO is not to blame, nor is China for the coronavirus outbreak getting out of control. “Trump’s just playing the blame game,” she said. “When he’s the one killing Americans.” Well, poor Whoopi and her crew are proven to be spreading lies and misinformation.
Whoopi Goldberg and her crew on ABC’s The View have moved into the realm of spreading outright lies and misinformation that anyone can easily de-bunk with a Google search. The producers of that show have totally lost their marbles as they ply Goldberg with insane conspiracy theories to report as fact.
On Wednesday, Whoopi with a bit of sarcasm claimed: “‘You know who’ used the White House coronavirus press briefing to knock down criticism that he botched the response and is now going after the organization he claims is really to blame.”
Goldberg then showed a video clip of President Trump announcing he is cutting funding to WHO while a review is conducted.
“I know he is into total authority,” Whoopi said. “But does he have the power to cut off funding Sunny out of the blue just because he is in the mood to do it?”
“I don’t know if ‘king Trump’ has the authority to unilaterally cut off funding,” Sunny Hostin said. She then made the allegation that Trump must have sinister plans for the WHO funds.
“What this seems to be to me Whoopi is part of the Trump blame game,” Sunny said. “This is something he does because he does not want to accept responsibility for his lackluster response because Americans’ lives and deaths are squarely on his shoulders.”
“But when you think about what the WHO did do, the WHO offered the United States a test,” Sunny added. “And the United States declined through the Trump administration that test and asked the CDC to come up with a coronavirus test.”

Well, we have to stop Sunny Hostin right there, even though she professes to be a very smart attorney.
Sunny is regurgitating one of the biggest conspiracy theories to come out of the pandemic. The WHO did not offer the United States testing kits. In fact, even the left-leaning Politifact checked this allegation made first by Joe Biden.
“WHO never offered to sell test kits to the United States,” Politifact reports. Therefore, the Trump administration could not reject an offer that never happened.
As far as Goldberg and her crew’s claims that the WHO had nothing to do with spreading COVID-19 and that it was all Trump’s fault with his “lackluster response,” they are easily proven wrong:
- Beijing informed the WHO about pneumonia of unknown cause on Dec. 31, and by Jan. 4, the agency was publicly praising China for “responding proactively and rapidly to the current incident in Wuhan.”
- The situation was so serious that Taiwan also notified the WHO about the coronavirus in late December
- Taiwan—which China has blocked from cooperating with the WHO—flagged the reality of human-to-human transmission occurring
- The WHO completely ignored the Taiwanese warning, choosing to trust Beijing instead. On Jan. 14, the agency repeated the Chinese assertion that there was no “clear evidence of human-to-human transmission.”
- It maintained this position until after Jan. 20, when Chinese authorities finally acknowledged that the coronavirus was spreading between humans. Had the WHO acted earlier, the coronavirus could potentially have been contained in China.
Making matter worse, the WHO also became China’s mouthpiece. The WHO’s director-general remarked on Feb. 8 that the WHO wasn’t “just battling the virus; we’re also battling the trolls and conspiracy theorists that push misinformation and undermine the outbreak response.”
Yet the agency has yet to say a word about China’s misinformation. By blindly believing Beijing’s claims, the WHO wasted precious days, in which a pandemic went from possible to inevitable. Even its declaration of a pandemic on March 11 came far too late when the virus had already spread to 114 countries.
So, as you can see, there is a ton of evidence that the WHO, acting as a co-conspirator with the Communist Chinese, lied to the world. By the time they could no longer hide the truth, it was too late.
The View is just like the World Health Organization. Except, they are covering up for the Democrats. You’d think Whoopi and her fellow shrews would be embarrassed to spread such blatant lies.
Either they are all totally dense or they really hate the president so much that they can’t help themselves. Whatever are their true motives, we know one thing: lying about the Commander in Chief during a national emergency is utterly despicable.
