Enjoy.)Bernie Sanders, the 77-year-old avowed Socialist who has a long history with ties to Communism, announced he will once again run for president in 2020. And he is already attacking President Donald Trump. “Our campaign is not only about defeating Donald Trump, the most dangerous president in modern American history. Our campaign is about transforming our country,” said Sanders. Well, that’s when country legend Charlie Daniels gave the senator an epic smackdown. You’ll love this.
Bernie Sanders calls himself a “Democratic Socialist,” but he really is a full blown Communist. Going back decades, Sanders was part of the fringe hardcore Communist movement in America. And it’s really quite a mistake when the mainstream media makes out to be this old harmless hippie.
“Mainstreaming Sanders requires whitewashing his radical pro-communist past. It won’t be easy to do,” reports the New York Post. “If Sanders were vying for a Cabinet post, he’d never pass an FBI background check. There’d be too many subversive red flags popping up in his file. He was a communist collaborator during the height of the Cold War.”
Well, we know the Vermont Senator honeymooned in Soviet Russia. But that’s not all. While attending the University of Chicago, Sanders joined the Young People’s Socialist League, the youth wing of the Socialist Party USA. He also organized for a communist front, the United Packinghouse Workers Union, which at the time was under investigation by the House Committee on Un-American Activities.
Now, he is the frontrunner of the Democratic candidates along with Kamala Harris. And he is spewing his Communistic nonsense. “Our campaign is not only about defeating Donald Trump, the most dangerous president in modern American history, ” Sanders said. “It is not only about winning the Democratic nomination and the general election. Our campaign is about transforming our country and creating a government based on the principles of economic, social, racial and environmental justice,
“Together, you and I and our 2016 campaign began the political revolution. Now, it is time to complete that revolution and implement the vision that we fought for,” Sanders concluded.
Well, country icon Charlie Daniels has a message for old Bernie, and he isn’t going to like it.
“Bernie says he wants a revolution, if he ain’t careful he might get one but not the one he’s talking about. People out here can’t express themselves in the media like you do Mr Sanders, but don’t think they aren’t watching and don’t think they’re helpless. Danger lurks out here,” tweeted Daniels.

But he was just getting started. Discussing Sanders and Socialism, Charlie said, “Yet there is always a new gaggle of fools who think they can make [Socialism] work, or at least that’s what they tell the electorate, always masking their real intentions of having suffocating and perpetual power over a nation.”
Then, the retired rancher describes what happens to a country when Socialism takes hold: “There is no food on the shelves, gasoline is totally unaffordable, even if you can find it, then factories and manufacturing shuts down, the government is stone broke, the dole is discontinued, the power struggles begin which means that even the meager amount of currency that can be had goes for guns, not butter, and the people resort to whatever they have to, to eat – up to and including slaughtering the animals at the zoo.”
Charlie Daniels is a true patriot. He keeps an active Twitter account where he adds his support for our military, police officers and all first responders. Responding directly to Bernie Sanders last night, he tweeted, “The socialists never say a word about veterans or even defense budgets, except to criticize them. America wouldn’t last five years under their watch.”

Charlie Daniels is a national treasure who doesn’t mince words and speaks his mind. And he is a Christian who posted this prayer: “Lord, when it seems the world has gone crazy and the media condemn the innocent and protects the guilty, when justice is perverted and evil wins, help us remember that there will be another court where justice prevails, judgments are final and there is no appeal.”
God bless him. He is counting on God to see America through these dark times. And those of us who also believe know President Trump will need all our prayers to battle the evil forces who would love nothing more than to see Socialism take over our great Republic. Once again, We the People can make sure America remains the land of the free and home of the brave.
