Last summer, Whoopi Goldberg and the shrews of “The View” were raging mad over President Donald Trump’s border wall. Whoopi freaked out, looked into the camera, and screamed at Trump, “No one wants your wall! No Americans want it, I don’t want it!” Well, what a difference a year makes. Trump just made sure it’s getting built, and he is doing it in a way that pundits are calling “political genius.” You’ll love this.
Leave it to Whoopi Goldberg and her cohorts on “The View” to be so out of touch with the American electorate that she made a mockery of her own talk show. President Donald Trump rose to win the GOP nomination and then the presidency over one big core issue: illegal immigration.
After taking a whipping in the 2016 presidential race, you would think that Goldberg would have learned something. Her candidate, Hillary Clinton, lost the election. So, being a talking head on ABC, how is it Whoopi doesn’t understand why?
Yet, last summer Golberg was caught ranting: “He’s [Trump] gonna shut down the damn government if his border security bill which includes funding for the wall isn’t passed.” She added: “No one wants your wall! No Americans want it, I don’t want it!”
The problem the president had last year was the Omnibus Spending bill. “My highest duty is to keep America safe,” Trump said. “We need to take care of our military.” Still, he voiced disdain for the hasty way the bill was passed. “I say to Congress, I will never sign another bill like this again,” Trump said.
Fast forward to today. Trump has played the Democrats and the GOP RINOs and is getting that wall built.
“The probability that President Trump builds his ‘big, beautiful wall’ just got ten times more likely,” Daily Wire reports. “On Wednesday the White House announced plans to divert $3.6 billion from military construction projects to erect new wall structures along the southern border with Mexico.”
The president received welcome news from the Supreme Court. In a 5-4 decision, the Court approved the use of $2.5 billion in military funding for border wall construction, which the White House claimed would create 100 miles of new fencing.
If a similar cost-per-mile holds for the new funding, the administration could reasonably hope to construct an additional 144 miles of wall, bringing the total newly built fencing to 244 miles.
But that’s not all.
In 2011, President Barack Obama falsely declared the wall “basically complete,” after the United States constructed 649 miles of border fencing, much of which failed to meet the demands of the Secure Fence Act of 2006.
If President Trump succeeds at building the 244 miles of new fencing, he can claim a 38% expansion of all the border wall ever constructed under four previous presidents over nearly three decades.
That projection does not take into account additional funding for 86 miles of new primary wall, 24 miles of new levee wall, and 131 miles of Pentagon-funded wall that the White House had already secured before the Supreme Court’s decision in July.
“If all that fencing is built, President Trump will be able to boast of an additional 241 miles of wall, bringing the total to 1,134 miles, covering 58% of the southern border,” Daily Wire added. “Over the past month, against all odds and expectations, President Trump has at last shown progress on fulfilling that central campaign promise. Most impressive of all, his critics continue to underestimate his political skill.”
Patriots are welcoming this bit of new news about the wall.
“Perhaps you’ve missed it but Trump is getting his wall with an unprecedented challenge to both Congress and the military establishment and endless wrangling with the courts, where DACA has also been fought out,” tweeted J. Gelling, who was responding to a Trump hater claiming he is not keeping his promises.

“Go for it Mr. Pres. behind you all the way. It’s worth the wait and I have no doubt you will get Mexico to pay before all is said and done,” tweeted “Tony Brick Pile.”

President Trump played the long game after he found himself with a Congress who wouldn’t work with him on the wall despite the horrendous border crisis.
The New York Times tried to ratchet up hate toward Trump claiming the president is diverting funds away from vital military needs by not building a new middle school on Fort Campbell. “The school is on the list of 127 projects, touching nearly every facet of American military life, that will be suspended to shift $3.6 billion to the wall,” The Times claimed.
The reality is building a new middle school is not diverting funds which create problems for our military in the field. In fact, The Times is laughably reporting: “[T]his means that 552 students in sixth, seventh and eighth grades will continue to cram themselves in, 30 to a classroom in some cases.”
This is all the leftists have got. President Trump is doing all he can within the limits of the power which he possesses to make sure the wall is getting built. He is outsmarting the swamp creatures who have been in Washington D.C. for 40-50 years and delivering on his main campaign promise. This should prove to all Americans when Trump says he will do something he will do all he can to make it happen.
